In the fourth day of its 2024 conference Responsible Raw Materials connected ideas across all levels of mineral value chains, from responsible artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) to the drivers of holistic performance in large-scale mining (LSM), from responsible finance and pricing to criticality strategies redefining global relationships. 🌐 The key takeaway was precisely the necessity and value of this multi-dimensional and dynamic approach: there is no silver bullet, but a multitude of critical choices which must be guided by shared ambitions, agreed principles and honest brokering of outcomes - and their consequences. ⚖ "The pendulum is swinging from confrontation to collaboration, from consultation to consent, recognizing that relationships are assets, no less significant than mineral reserves. A new value equation has emerged that is based on understanding the relationship between the “how” of engagement and the potential for achieving resilient outcomes." Find out more about the people and organisations making this happen in our recap ! ⏩ This free, open, online conference wrapped up the following day and all talks are already available on https://lnkd.in/e5mu-FAj via the link next to each speaker and topic in the schedule. #CriticalChoices #ResponsibleRawMaterials #ResponsibleInvestment #ResponsibleMining #ResponsibleSourcing #ResponsibleConsumption

There are two simple reasons why Royal Road Minerals is in a stronger position than most other junior #mining companies. The first is a straightforward question of cash. The company has C$14mln and, according to chief executive Tim Coughlin, that’s enough to take it through 2024 and beyond. Given that the current markets are about as tough as anyone’s seen for fifteen years, companies without cash are at best struggling, and it’s becoming clear enough now that there are plenty out there that just won’t make it at all. #TSXV #OTC #RYR #RRDMF More at #Proactive #ProactiveInvestors http://ow.ly/txKL1053Obj

Wyoming, recognized for its rich array of mineral resources and distinctive geological formations, holds a significant role in providing essential raw materials for various industries and energy production. Despite the passage of time since the last copper and gold mine commenced operations in the state, echoes of the historic Gold Rush era persist as small-scale miners continue to prospect for precious minerals on public lands, thereby contributing to the ongoing narrative of Wyoming's mining heritage. In close proximity to Wyoming's capital city, Cheyenne, efforts are underway to advance the development of what could potentially become the state's first copper and gold mine in decades. For US Gold Corp (NASDAQ:USAU), this presents a unique opportunity as one of the few entities possessing a #copper-#gold asset situated within the stable regulatory framework of Wyoming. We found an interesting read on the Golden Arc mining alliance: The mineral-rich regions of Alaska, Yukon, and British Columbia hold immense potential for resource development. As we know, the proposed Golden Arc mining alliance could unlock this potential, creating a new era of prosperity for all three jurisdictions - attracting investment and creating jobs… HOWEVER, interest groups still have to tackle the following challenges: 1. Infrastructure development that is crucial to connect remote mining deposits with existing transportation networks. 2. Collaboration between governments, Indigenous communities, and industry stakeholders that are essential for ensuring responsible and sustainable development. Despite these challenges, the potential rewards of a Golden Arc mining alliance are significant. By working together, Alaska, Yukon, and British Columbia can create a globally competitive mining region, generating economic benefits for future generations. We’ll be watching this space! #SVML - A detailed six month review by Mining Aim Charles Archer of the Sovereign Metals investment case "The greatest hurdle to development will be funding of initial capital requirements. In our view Rio Tinto’s endgame is to become 100% owner of #kasiya. Rio will be in no rush to make a bid for SVM, so we may not see any corporate activity until after the completion of the Kasiya DFS. Alternatively, if SVM’s PFS numbers meet threshold expectations, RIO may wish to take executive control of the project, catalysing a takeover offer of SVM in the short to medium term.’ #rutile #graphite read: https://lnkd.in/ewMvXKA2

Pleased to present at Procemin-Geomet 2024 on "Demystifying Tailings Flocculation: Examining Some Assumptions and Misconceptions" with Phillip Fawell (CSIRO Mineral Resources, Australia), Heather Kaminsky (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Canada), and Chris Solnordal (CSIRO Mineral Resources, Australia)! Tailings flocculation is a critical step in most mining circuits, especially as the need to reduce freshwater intake increases. Despite decades of research and development improving this process, many commonly held assumptions or over-simplifications still impact its effectiveness. Our presentation addresses a few of these misconceptions, highlighting how they can adversely affect operational performance in tailings dewatering. We discuss key fundamental concepts and practical operational strategies, emphasizing the importance of a holistic approach to optimizing tailings dewatering. This congress article is the second we have written with Phillip Fawell on this topic, and I am excited to share our insights with the community. #Procemin-Geomet2024 #Mining #Sustainability #Tailings #Clays Metcelerate: Creating the Metallurgists your organisation needs

Thanks for the write up Resource World Magazine Inc. on Westward Gold Inc.'s recent exploration program at our Toiyabe, Turquoise Canyon, and East Saddle projects on #Nevada's prolific Battle-Mountain Eureka Trend. Link: https://lnkd.in/gExKFBbx Commenting on the East Saddle project (which is contiguous to SSR Mining Inc.'s claim block), Rob Edie, Vice President of Exploration noted “Decalcification and silicification of carbonate rocks is a distinct marker of Carlin-type #gold deposition. It occurs when gold-bearing Carlin fluid dissolves calcium carbonate from limestone host rocks and deposits silica pervasively. In addition to silica, the process also deposits gold and other pathfinder elements. The discovery of decalcified, silicified limestone at East Saddle suggests that the area has experienced a Carlin-type mineralizing event.” #JuniorMining #MineralExploration #DiscoveryFocused #Stocks #GoldStocks #CSE #SmallCaps #VentureCapital #Drilling #MiningFinance #Nevada #Assays #AssaysPending #Catalysts
