Nashik joins the league of Maharashtra's logistics hubs, welcoming its very own Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP). This milestone follows the success of similar initiatives in Nagpur and Pune. Under the pioneering Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Transfer (DBFOT) framework, the National Highway Logistics Management Ltd. (NHLML), an entity under the National Highway Authority (NHAI), takes the reins of this transformative project with a budget of ₹336.55 crore. The MMLP initiative, aligned with the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, aims to construct 35 such parks strategically, playing a pivotal role in reducing the logistics cost to 8-9% of the GDP. As the construction accelerates, MMLPs are poised to handle 50% of road cargo transportation, reshaping the logistics landscape. Here are the key highlights: 📍 Development over 10,000 acres by 2029 📍 Biggest hub in Navi Mumbai-Pune region, covering 2,000 acres with a ₹1,500 crore investment 📍 National Mega Logistics Hub in Nagpur-Wardha region, spanning 1,500 acres, with another ₹1,500 crore investment 📍 Five more hubs of 500 acres each in various regions including Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar-Jalna and Thane-Bhiwandi 📍 Regional hubs of 300 acres in places like Nanded-Deglur and Amravati-Badnera 📍 District logistics nodes of 100 acres in 25 districts 📍 Multi-purpose logistics parks in cities like Mumbai, Thane, and Pune 🔑 The policy aims to: ✅ Reduce logistics costs from 14-15% to around 10% ✅ Create 5 lakh jobs ✅ Generate a revenue of ₹30,573 crore ✅ Reserve 15% MIDC land for private logistics nodes ✅ Provide financial incentives like interest subsidies, lower power rates, and more #Logistics #Infrastructure #EconomicDevelopment #JobCreation #Investment
