We often get asked, "Can we predict laboratory CU testing by using BU data generated from NIR spectra of the blend in a tablet press feed frame?"
We often say in response, "That potentially carries a larger NIR calibration burden and may be a hard place to start. However, the NIR spectra used to generate BU data may provide valuable information for CU sampling and for an initial material diversion strategy, even without RTRt". The recently published and below referenced paper by Alexander Ryckaert, Matthew Cannon et al provides some great insight into this area.

Monitoring blend uniformity with PAT tools like NIR during #ContinuousManufacturing is standard in pharma. However, the current diversion approaches often reject compliant tablets. In collaboration with Matthew Cannon from GSK, and prof. Thomas De Beer, in this article by Ryckaert et al. we propose a more efficient method to reduce yield loss by diverting only non-compliant tablets. This URL offers 50 days of free access. 💡 Liquid vs. Lyophilized: Which is right for your drug?
Liquid formulations are simple and cost-effective, while lyophilized options ensure stability for sensitive molecules.
Let us guide you in making the best choice by offering expertise in both formats and tailored manufacturing solutions. Get in touch with Kari Roberts to find out more about our liquid and lyo CDMO services!

Sometimes you get lucky. Your drug product morphology is ideal for manufacturing. It dissolves at the perfect rate and is very stable for long periods in extreme environments.
Most of us don't get that lucky. But a skilled CDMO can help you anticipate and overcome many of these challenges with advanced formulation techniques: https://hubs.la/Q030kNq30#CorealisPharma#CDMO#SolidScience#DrugDevelopment#PharmaInnovation
