Behind every vibrant vegetable, every fruit and every fragrant herb, lies the nurturing hands of our small farmers. They don't just grow food; they cultivate connections, fostering a deeper understanding of where our meals come from. Always make a point to visit a farmers' market near you, and connect with the direct producers. #localfood #localfoodmarket #FarmersMarket #VeggieVentures #everydayfarming #SupportLocalGrowers #smallfarmers #smallproducers #whatthefarmerhas

"Let's celebrate the arrival of spring! March has brought us to the end of a successful round of pruning our apple trees. Our fruit farmers have been hard at work, improving their techniques to produce top-quality branches that will give us great results. By reducing unnecessary nutrient consumption and carefully balancing the ratio of leaves to fruit, we're all set for a fantastic season ahead. Cheers to the beginning of a fruitful journey! 🍎✨ #SpringHarvest #BountifulSeason #FarmLife"

If you enjoy visiting your local farmers market, have you ever considered why? But truly, the most compelling part to her is the feeling of gathering, nourishment, and community. ☀ Read more: https://bit.ly/3ywsMTa. #FarmersMarketWeek

This is very important. Our fresh food producers are at a tipping point.
Former citrus grower of 35 years, Judy Shepherd wants Australians to know that if we don’t do something now, we will lose our fresh food producers. Judy says it’s time for everyone to step up to ensure growers are getting paid what they deserve so they can keep growing food for Australians. If you enjoy eating healthy fruit, veggies, meat, herbs or any food product, it might be a good idea to buy from local small farms and family farmers. New regulations, policies, and economic disincentives are putting pressure on natural food availability which is driving up prices. Unfortunately, this is a trend ikely to continue globally for the forseeable future. The good news is that if you live outside high-density areas, you can usually find space for a garden or fruit trees. Even if you have no land, you might want to connect with people who do. There are many innovative alterantives to the big box grocery store. And if you do have some land, getting things planted early will allow for abundance later. Growing your own food will always be a more productive use of time and money than mowing lawns. https://lnkd.in/gR7rGhdM
