Just like in Goldilocks and the Three Bears, the size and scope of CDMOs supporting CRISPR gene editing development projects merit serious review. Some companies can be too big. Others, too small. But some manufacturers are just right. Jeff Briganti discusses how to find the provider that fits you best in a blog post that is no fairy tale. https://lnkd.in/gKQPXKBE

Doctoral Candidate exploring innovative DNA-based platforms for Healthcare | Diagnostics, Bioengineering, Nanotechnology
Maybe a little late. But yeah, so so happy that the preprint is out. DNA has been used outside of the genetic context. It has really exciting properties making it a great engineering material. DNA-based "reactions offer a programmable method to detect diseases. The programming however has been challenging. What does this work mean? We have simplified the "programming" aspect. An assay for a new disease, new target could be developed by simply exchanging domains. What has otherwise been a master's or PhD thesis could be achieved by a simple swap. Plug-and-play. The performance remains the same. How did it happen? Some DNA magic. Hidden in the paper. Please do give it a read, and let me know for more discussions, debates, anything.
Happy to share our preprint describing a new synthetic gene switch for in-vitro detection of #DNA and #RNA. Congrats to Krishna Gupta who is the first author of this insightful work! #nanotechnology #synbio #PoC #diagnostics https://lnkd.in/gdhQpuku
