I never liked it when grown-ups tell kids that life gets much harder as an adult. I don't think that's true. (Feel free to disagree heavily.) It's hard being a kid. You don't know who to listen to or what makes sense. You're not developed enough to make wise choices. You feel emotions and often don't know what to do with them (parents... get on this). When a school runs a peer-to-peer campaign and gives students personal fundraising goals, the kids feel powerful and important. They feel like adults. They call their family or community members asking for donations and hardly get turned down. They reach their goal. The school then showcases how their hard work contributed to its success. Peer-to-peer fundraising is so much more than just fundraising. It changes everything for the better. You should try it.

Love4Life empowers individuals with learning disabilities and autism to make friends and find love. They host workshops and events including themed discos, bowling, restaurant visits, and games nights. This is complemented by one-to-one support. 87% of workshop attendees said skills learned help them to be more independent. Statutory adult social care services are shrinking, with 42% of existing members not receiving any statutory support. Unsurprisingly, demand for Love4Life’s support is skyrocketing, but their IT infrastructure is hindering their growth. Love4Life will use our funding to revamp their website and implement a CRM system to upscale their impact and reach in underserved communities. It will also support enhanced fundraising efforts. Many advisors to #donoradvisedfunds name their child or children as the successor advisor(s) on some or all of their DAFs assets. But engaging the #nextgeneration doesn't have to wait! DAFs are a fantastic way to teach investing, budgeting, and values from a young age. Plus, this is a great way for financial advisors to build next-gen relationships early and often! Children of any age can be engaged in conversations on living the family's values through philanthropy.
