Nothing proves better that he has found his place at Richter than the nearly two decades he has spent with us. ⏳ His personal life has changed a lot in such a long time becoming a proud father of two children. 👨👧👧 Both of his children attended kindergarten at Richter and he looks forward to seeing his grandchildren reach an age where they can take full advantage of the company's holiday facilities with their families. 🏖️ Is it important to you to have a family-friendly workplace where your career progression is supported? ➡️ Check out our open positions at the link below and join the Richter team! https://bit.ly/4cr05G2 #RichterKarrier #gyógyszeripar #karrier #karrierlehetőségek #joinrichter #carreergoals #munkahely

Subsurface Task Force Skills Chair, Graham Goffey, spoke last month to Allister Thomas at Energy Voice. For those who were unable to access the subsequent piece published online, we have attached the full article below. The Task Force published last month a 3 page Management Summary and Call to Action addressed at companies on all scales employing geoscientists in the energy sector and beyond. This was derived from the 2023 Task Force report 'Geoscience Skills in Crisis; energy sector perspectives and energy transition implications'. We also published a document to make it easier for companies and staff to offer internships, to undertake individual or corporate outreach and we also included details of existing mentoring schemes to enable staff to be mentored or to act as mentor. All of these reports and resources can be downloaded at https://lnkd.in/gqWcAjf3 We encourage you to check out this material on our website and consider how you and/or your company can play a role in encouraging and supporting the geoscientists of the present and of the future.

Posted on my Facebook page on 23 January 2024... I come from the era of Technikons, where, during our third year, we would seek internship opportunities to apply our academic knowledge and acquire practical experience. Fortuitously, the organisation I interned with, later welcomed me permanently into its fold. My first job! Engen Petroleum (pic. my first business card) became the catalyst for my thrilling career, immersing me in a world I could only have dreamed of. In my role, I engaged with the CEO Rob Angel and his leadership team with my head held high, which was a big deal, making me the envy of my peers. And I've had it since. I was fortunate to have an Executive, Itumeleng Langeni who took a chance on the then young, tiny, eyelash-betting, naive girl who walked into an interview room wearing a dark grey skirt suit, blackmail stockings and black snake-skinned heels, with a snaked-skinned black handbag. Comfortable in her own skin, she not only pushed me to learn, exposing me to all sorts of spaces and projects, but also gently guided me to inhabit the professional space confidently. Boy, did I kick butt! Itu, as I call her to this day, played a pivotal role in kickstarting my career in corporate communications when I was a young, naive and relatively inexperienced girl, navigating the corporate landscape. Even after 27 years, she remains my mentor and sounding board. It was from her that I learned the importance of paying it forward. Those I've mentored professionally can attest to the impact, as they've evolved into exceptional communication practitioners, who value the essence and fundamentals of our profession. Observing in interviews today, I witness young men and women seeking the same opportunities Itu extended to me many years ago. However, things have changed significantly. The fire in their eyes seems dim, overshadowed by confidence that holds little value. The bounce in their steps lacks the drive we possessed, replaced by the self-assurance of a Master's graduate whose writing skills and other skills associated with being a potentially good/great practitioner, crucial for one's survival in this career, often leaves one disappointed upon closer inspection and engagement. However, I firmly believe that this shouldn't discourage me from investing my efforts in developing young professionals who radiate passion, love, and determination, eager to learn the ropes with their entire being entering the workplace, hoping they will carry this same spirit and pay it forward. I've had the privilege of encountering several great individuals who have contributed to my professional growth, including Anthony at Old Mutual, Mpho at Sasol Oil, Heather Ferreira at Liberty, Khosi Matsipa and Sibongile Mooko at PPC, Ingo Drechsler and Ben Marais at Lanxess, Reatile Tekateka MBA and Elizabeth Ferreira at MultiChoice, Lebelo and Shela at Sasol, and my current leaders, each adding valuable layers to my professional journey.

Today is #NationalInternDay & in honor of that, we wanted to shout our three amazing summer interns: Juliette Michaels, Trek Salzer & Haydn Sage! We asked them what being an intern at Nautilus Solar means to them & what their future #career goals are. Let's hear from them: Juliette: "I’m so grateful to be spending my summer as a small part of a great team that has gone out of their way to make me feel included and supported. I’m constantly inspired by the people around me, and their commitment to making a measurable difference in the world. I’m very interested in the intersectionality of community solar as an industry; driving growth in #sustainability and financial accessibility efforts. I know that supporting a mission I believe in is a priority for me as I move forward in my career." Trek: "As an intern at Nautilus, I get to be part of an *energetic* (pun intended) group of people working hard to make #solar energy accessible for people across the country. Going forward, I am looking to build a career in the renewable energy industry and I want to contribute to the continued global energy transition." Haydn: "Being an intern at Nautilus this summer has allowed me to gain a deeper and more nuanced understanding of renewable energy. I am learning something new every day through the knowledge team and this experience has only deepened my passion for sustainability and renewable energy. After graduation I plan to pursue law school and I am particularly interested in environmental and patent law." Thanks, interns, for all your hard work and dedication.

This #TrainingTuesday, Pawsey calls for projects for the 2024/2025 Summer Internship Program! 🌟 🔍 Most of us use everyday software to compress large files we send over the internet, but what happens when it's necessary to send petabytes of information (1 PB = 1000 terabytes)? 👨💼 Prasanna Asokan, an Advanced Science Computing Major from Curtin University, collaborated with his supervisor on an internship project designing a next-level data management system for scientific research. The project explores innovative compression techniques like machine learning with Autoencoders and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) to find data patterns specific to scientific data. Additionally, it investigates intelligent data partitioning with Reinforcement Learning and Collaborative Filtering for optimised retrieval and processing. This technology may prove vital for large-scale scientific research. 💻 🎥 Watch Prasanna's Video: https://bit.ly/4bi8Rp5 🔬 If you're a researcher and have a project in #ComputationalDomain #MachineLearning #ArtificialIntelligence #CodeOptimisation #DataManagement #ComplexWorkflows #QuantumComputing #Visualisation, you could have a student working on your project for 10 weeks this summer. Apply by May 20. Learn more about: https://bit.ly/3K0zcw1 #TuesdayTraining #Supercomputing #ScientificComputing #InternshipProject #MachineLearning #Datamanagement

Petroleum - Oil & Gas Operations| Global Business Development | Project Management | Negotiation | EPC Project Delivery | Technical Sales
Each year at Chemsolv, like all other places I have worked, I get the privilege to host and groom students on internship. My goal ìs and has always been to prepare them for the world of work. Give the interns an edge and help them discover that which they have inside. That gift of uniqueness, character and the strive for excellence. The training, usually tailored, intuitive and interactive challenges their thinking and problem solving skills, teamwork and versatility in the upstream oil and Gas /petroleum industry. A lot of the time, I pull parts and pieces, disguise them in a cunning array of sequels and then leave them to create, resolve, innovate or mould that which is unseen. Its interesting how they discover the tools hidden before their very own senses of perspectives - bringing innovation to the fore. Amazing things happen and this is why we do the things we do. One of these interns wrote me a pretty letter below.
