True change begins with setting clear goals, especially in recovery. These goals act as beacons that guide patients out of the cyclical patterns of the past and chart a course toward sustained recovery. At Ripple Ranch, we understand that each individual has unique goals in recovery. Learn how we assess these in our 2023 Clinical Outcomes Report and integrate these findings into treatment plans for improved patient outcomes: https://lnkd.in/gGQE3gUw #rippleranchtx #therippleeffecttx #goals #recoverygoals #personalgoals #recovery #recoveryprocess #goalplanning #healingispossible #mentalhealthtreatment

This #RecoveryMonth is hopefully an encouragement to patients to ask for help with substance misuse, but what about patients who may not be ready to ask? Medication monitoring can help identify substance misuse and allow clinicians to discuss unexpected findings with patients in a supportive manner that can help them take that first step of asking for help. Reminder: There is no one-size-fits-all solution for managing a vestibular disorder. Diagnosing and managing the symptoms of a vestibular disorder requires a multidisciplinary approach that involves the expertise of several healthcare professionals. Some people can get a diagnosis quickly but struggle to find a treatment that works. Some spend years trying to figure out what's causing their dizziness, then eventually get diagnosed, treated, and are back on their feet. Many in our community experience a constantly changing relationship to symptoms and our health. Find clinicians and professionals near you at vestibular.org.

When it comes to prescribed medications that are “common” in those managing a substance use disorder, many people might feel afraid to take the medication. They’ve heard many out-of-context or blown-out-of-proportion stories that make them scared. This is totally okay and normal, but how can we, as healthcare professionals, help alleviate their fears and concerns? The most important thing we can do is to bring up these common concerns and talk through them, whether they address them or not. Sometimes patients might feel too nervous to ask the questions or be unsure how to bring it up. Encourage open communication and remind them that your goal is to see them happy and healthy.

Our current model of "a pill for the ill" is simply not working. Our aging population is getting larger and becoming more vocal about the quality of life they wish to have. So gone are the days when we give patients prescriptions and expect them to 'take as prescribed'. Our patients are seeking a chance to be a part of the decision-making process surrounding their health. And we owe it to them to listen and provide all possible options for their care. This is where value-based care deprescribing comes in. Deprescribing clinicians can benefit from a fee-for-service model where they can cater to the persons seeking their expertise. If you are ready to be paid for the value you bring to your patients through deprescribing, sign up for my deprescribing accelerator HERE 👉🏾https://zurl.co/sR7x
