In all seriousness, this is my favorite partnership I've ever seen on LinkedIn JR Butler is a great guy. First words out of his mouth when I DMed him that I liked his content - "how can I help" And what better group of people to support than transitioning athletes and veterans? Dylan Rheault seems like a genuine guy and is always sharing other people's wins. We all grow together 🚀 One of the realest people on this platform, CT Falk told me to check out the work that Apex Revenue was doing. Said months ago that they were going to change the game 🔥 They only hire in person so it wasn't in alignment at the time, but I followed Justin Middleton and have seen them take off. Then more and more people started popping up. Added CEO Joey Gilkey off a comment he made about being holistic without even realizing he was with Apex. Ryan Reisert, Josh Braun, and Morgan Ingram were the first 3 LinkedIn influencers I knew of before I was even active on LinkedIn. So when I saw Ryan was involved, I knew it was legit Thomas W. When the best leader and the best team come together, they create a powerful synergy that propels them to achieve extraordinary outcomes. They are able to overcome obstacles, adapt to change, and continuously improve because they are united in their commitment to a shared goal. This combination of exceptional leadership and a high-performing team can truly make a lasting impact and leave a legacy of success.

Last year, I joined a team of coworkers for an overnight trail relay race. It was to be a fun time of trail running, camping, and good outdoor fun. And it was...until the sky opened up with rain for almost 12 hours straight through the overnight hours. The trails went from dry to damp to wet to muddy and stayed that way. It was awesome! Unfortunately, one of our teammates got injured during his first run segment and had to withdraw. As a team, we came up with a plan to cover the extra running and keep the team moving while still allowing each to sleep a little between outings. As the conditions worsened, each of us leveraged our experience, skill, and equipment to navigate the course, stay safe, and help each other. We faced into the waves of torrential rain, running muddy hills with occasionally shin-deep mud, helping each other stay warm, fed, and motivated. There was no staying dry! In the end, we came together, took care of business, and celebrated the result we earned. If you work in a team environment, you've likely had a situation where a teammate struggled and the team had to absorb the work. A healthy team handles setbacks with grace, making space for mistakes, bad luck, misfortune, and life to happen to team members. Each team member steps up and helps with their experience, skill, and equipment. It's still frustrating to take on extra work, especially when you're already loaded. If you trust your team, you'll be more willing to help cover the gaps because its the right thing to do, knowing that one day you might be the one in need. If you don't trust your team, the story can be very different. If you're on a dysfunctional team, the story can be very different...will likely be very different. I'm grateful to be on a wonderful team at work that inspires me to aim high and drive outstanding outcomes every day.

As a part of the organizing team of a recent MUN, I realized the importance of a great team. There were days when things didn't seem right, dreams and ideas totally felt like dillusions. There were days when I asked myself, " will this ever even happen?". There were days when my frustation came out as anger. But guess what? We always had each other's back. Through highs and lows, ups and downs, arguments and consensus, problems and solutions, we coverted our dreams into reality. People ask me what is more important, "the journey or the destiny", but now I tell them, " it is the company that matters". Things might not always turn out to be as planned but if you have a great team they'll support you at every step, praise you for the smallest efforts, thank you for the tiniest thing, they'll fight for you and even fight with you. So make sure you stay in the right environment with the right people.
