There's a common belief that we learn best from our mistakes. But is this always true? 🧐 In reality, the process of realizing and reflecting on our mistakes can be lengthy and challenging. By the time we understand what went wrong, the moment for learning might seem to have passed. Yet, this doesn't mean mistakes have no value. They teach us patience, humility, and the importance of due diligence. While it may take time to fully grasp the lessons, these experiences shape our resilience and perseverance. Perhaps the key is to balance learning from mistakes with proactive learning and preparation. Anticipating challenges and seeking continuous improvement can help us avoid pitfalls before they happen. So, while mistakes may not always be the best teachers, they still play a crucial role in our growth journey. Let's embrace them as part of a broader strategy for development and success. #LearningJourney #ProfessionalGrowth #Resilience #ContinuousImprovement #Leadership

Some know that I'm a dedicated bread baker. Facts: I have a sourdough starter that I've had for more than 20 years. I won first prize for Sourdough at last year's DC State Fair! For me, bread baking is like learning and speaking another language. No matter how good you are, there are always new mysteries, nuances, and lessons to uncover. Bread/Life Lesson: You can't rush bread. The simplest and most beautiful breads only develop flavor by slowing down. Do you have a passion that keeps you learning? #breadmaking #breadbaking #selfcare #learning
Do you love finding out that someone is taking a cool class or working on mastering a new skill - especially one that is not work-related? We do. Learning new things can be so humbling. It requires an openness and willingness to be vulnerable. And that's where the gold is. #leadership #learning #impact

In our professional and personal lives, it's important to remember that good decisions often stem from the lessons we've learned along the way. But where does that experience come from? More often, it comes from making mistakes and learning from them. Every mistake is an opportunity to grow and improve. It's easy to regret a misstep, but each one teaches us something valuable, shaping our judgment and enhancing our abilities. This is the essence of life and growth. Instead of dwelling on regrets, let's focus on the lessons we can take from our experiences. Embrace your mistakes, learn from them, and use that knowledge to make better decisions moving forward. Life is a journey of continuous learning. So, never regret your mistakes. Learn from them and keep moving forward. #Leadership #GrowthMindset #CareerDevelopment #PersonalGrowth #Learning #Experience

Things don't always turn out the way that we'd planned, but we can always learn from our mistakes. I've long held that the only failure is to give up, everything else is just a part of the learning process. But while sometimes learning just doesn't feel that good, it certainly beats never learning at all. Sometimes intelligence proves to be a person's undoing. Recently, I was speaking to an executive and pointing out some mistakes that his company was making, along with some opportunities. He was smart enough to anticipate what I was going to say, and was finishing my sentences. The problem was that his finish to my sentences was not the same that I had in mind... It's not easy to have our mistakes and errors in judgment replayed for us to see. But if we can learn the lessons that they teach us then it is never experienced in vain. #success #leadership #management #mindset #perspective

There is so much we don’t know and most part of it we can not control. Many people get stressed when their plans is not working according to their timeframe. Goals and making plans is good, it gives directions, but we must practice deeper presence in each step to see if the circumstances tells us to shift directions. Your ability to face the reality, yet keep the stability (emotionell & mentally) through what occurs gives you a different experience around the circumstances and greater capacity to respond intelligent to the unexpected and unknown. •How do you react or respond to the unexpected and unknown? #leadership #mentor #selfleadership #education #morlormastermentors #stressmanagement #vagusregulation
