FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Arcadian Opens Two New Offices in California St. Louis, MO May 21, 2024 – Arcadian Infracom, an information infrastructure development company headquartered in St. Louis, MO, announces the opening of two new office locations in California. Its new governmental relations office is in Sacramento, blocks from the State Capitol, and its network operations and administrative headquarters is in the Bay Area community of San Ramon. In February 2023, Arcadian and the State of California entered a public/private partnership under the Middle Mile Broadband Initiative with the State becoming the anchor customer on the California portion of Arcadian’s Los Angeles to Phoenix route. Construction on this route started in December 2023 with a groundbreaking in East Los Angeles. In November 2023 the State became the anchor customer on three additional routes, San Jose to Eureka, and the California portions of the San Jose to Reno and Barstow to Las Vegas routes. When completed in early 2027, these new routes will connect major data center hubs, subsea fiber landing stations and underserved local communities, forming a key part of California’s 10,000 mile Middle-Mile Broadband Initiative. Arcadian founder and CEO Dan Davis commented, “Arcadian has been a strong advocate of California’s mission to bring affordable broadband to all its residents, and our new California offices are evidence of our commitment to the success of the State’s Middle Mile Broadband Initiative. We’re especially proud of the private sector know how that we’ve brought to what’s arguably the most important public broadband initiative ever. The partnership between Arcadian and California is being built to last and we look forward to serving the State’s citizens for generations to come.” #MiddleMileFiber #FiberInfrastructure #MMBI #Arcadian #ArcadianInfracom #Fiber #DarkFiber #LongHaulFiber Trent Clausen Asim Raza, JD, MBA Josie Taylor Craig Cwiklowski Jeff Chapman

National leader in Infrastructure Collaboration, Scenario Planning, Moving from Vision to Implementation, Public Speaking
Calling infrastructure enthusiasts - have you ever thought of your work this way? (see quote from one of Burns & McDonnell and 1898 & Co. founders). While I'm not so sure the "romantic" part resonates in 2024, the rest of Robert McDonnell's words from nearly 100 years ago ring truer to me than ever before. Planning, designing, building and maintaining all kinds of critical infrastructure saves human lives and adds to the health, happiness and prosperity of our communities. Having worked in the public and private sectors (a couple of times each) and seeing infrastructure sectors converging - I know what you do matters! We can all look for opportunities to collaborate more in our work teams and across sectors keep those words vibrant for another 100 years!

A warm welcome to our new Project 13 Adopters: Rolls-Royce Submarine Infrastructure, New Hospital Programme, Houses of Parliament Restoration & Renewal and National Grid Great Grid Upgrade. It was great that they were able to join the rest of the Project 13 Adopter Community for a strategy workshop to discuss our approach for supporting each other as the community grows. You can see a list of the other Adopters here: https://lnkd.in/gnBEXbrY Congratulations to Richard Lennard who joined Melissa Zanocco OBE as Co-Chair of the Project 13 Adopter Community. A huge thank you to Steve Hudson, as he steps down as Co-Chair, for everything that he has done to move it from a small group of Early Adopters to the Community that it is today. Some key points raised: - Picking up on the output from the recent Project 13 Strategy Group workshop (https://lnkd.in/evbGKdCd), it was interesting to note how the Project 13 Enterprise model is starting to be used for operations and maintenance and not just for delivery of new infrastructure. Thank you to Dale Evans for joining us to update on the thinking emerging from that workshop. - The importance of predictability - that is almost more important than any of the other factors and is a key benefit being sought from adopting the Project 13 Principles. - The need to keep everyone on board and the importance of onboarding new people - it is not a matter of setting things up well at the start and then leaving it to tick over. Keeping everyone aligned needs to be a priority everyday, even as staff change - particularly at a senior level or key stakeholders who are not in the Enterprise itself. The good news is that some of the Early Adopters are already able to demonstrate tangible benefits from the Project 13 approach and we will be publishing some case studies on the Project 13 Network in the coming months. #Project13 #joinproject13 #infrastructure

In every community, public infrastructure and safety are the foundation of daily life. At Batteries Plus, our franchisees are more than business operators—they’re partners in ensuring these essential services remain operational, especially when they’re needed most. From powering traffic lights and water pumps to providing reliable batteries for public safety vehicles, our franchisees play a critical role in keeping communities running smoothly. For instance, in Las Cruces, NM, franchisee Keith Placencio supports over 1,000 public safety vehicles, ensuring that emergency services are always ready when it matters. Similarly, in Rosemead, CA, Yoonie Bae and Jason Hsiao help power the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, contributing to the resilience of one of the nation’s largest cities. Our commitment goes beyond powering infrastructure—supporting the backbone of public safety. Responsible franchising looks like this: building stronger, safer communities through local partnerships. #PublicSafety #InfrastructureSupport #CommunityImpact #BatteriesPlus #FranchiseLeadership
