Now we have a Shorter version of the Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination screening tool called Brief-HINE, which takes approximately 5 minutes to screen high-risk babies. Brief-HINE has a similar predictive ability for Cerebral Palsy as the original version. Learn, save, and use it in clinical practice to screen babies, refer them for detailed assessment, and Intervene early. #earlydiagnosis #earlyintervention #cerebralpalsy #highriskinfants #HINE

Remember, APGAR scores indicate: 𝟭 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲 = how the baby is handling the birthing process 𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 = how the baby is transitioning out of the womb. An APGAR is also a tool that has limitations. You need to look at the whole picture when assessing! Scores under five at both 5 and 10 minutes are highly correlated with cerebral palsy and other neurologic deficits.

Hot off the press! SpineX Inc. has published a study showing that after just 8 weeks of SCiP therapy in an adult with Cerebral Palsy there was a significant improvement in mobility and ability to carry out activities of daily living. These improvements were maintained for at least 20 weeks following the last therapy session. These groundbreaking results support the therapeutic promise of SCiP therapy for enhancing motor function in adults with CP. #cerebralpalsy #spineXinc #SCiPtherapy #spinalneuromodulation #spinalcordstimulation #cerebralpalsyadults
