Founder/Director/CEO @Cobber Technologies Pty Ltd| By utilising technology, we can engage peer support, build a stronger, resilient and more inclusive communities.

What if your personal problem solving journey had the power to not only transform your own challenges but also drive meaningful change in society? My personal problem of logistical barriers with access to digitally purchased secondhand furniture was actually larger than it initially seemed. Social isolation, often exacerbated by challenges like the one I faced, contribute significantly to loneliness and mental health concerns. It’s a sentiment that many individuals, especially those navigating life’s challenges alone, can empathise with. Our connection to community directly correlates with our life expectancy. Simply put, the more connected we are to our community, the longer and healthier our lives tend to be. Access to secondhand furniture isn’t just about convenience; it’s a critical component of our planet’s future. If we continue to consume resources at the current pace, we will need 3 times the natural resources available on this planet by 2050. An average household takes 45 tons of raw materials to furnish. When it comes to furnishing your homes, buying new isn’t just costly, it is often overlooked strain on the environment. A solution I have dedicated myself to, a community platform using our software application based product that leverages technology to make it easier for people to access second-hand furniture. I have built my business to bridge the gap between our need for access, our desire for community and the urgent call for responsible consumption. We are proud that our business aligns with the UN sustainable development goals and #agenda2030 Thank you SEVENTEENx and Lot Fourteen for inviting me to speak about our mission at Cobber Technologies PTY LTD. Thanks RAA for continued support in our community and sponsoring the event. Thank you for the amazing work that you do and it was a pleasure to meet you in person Mick Hase 🚀 And what an amazing turn out and hearing from my fellow speakers who are change leaders was quite inspirational.
