What is Building Emissions Reduction and Disclosure? Adopted in 2021, BERDO is a groundbreaking ordinance aimed at reducing air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from Boston's large buildings. It empowers the City of Boston to set emissions standards for big residential (15+ units) and non-residential buildings (20,000+ sq ft). 🌿 These standards will gradually tighten, with a target of net-zero emissions by 2050. Governor Hochul Announces $32 Million for Electric Transportation Solutions 🚛 ⚡ Governor Kathy Hochul has announced a $32 million investment to advance shared electric transportation solutions in New York through the new Clean Mobility Program. The program, administered by NYSERDA, aims to reduce emissions and improve connectivity, prioritizing disadvantaged communities. Key Highlights- Funding Tracks: Planning Track: Up to $100,000 for community engagement, site identification, and feasibility analysis. Demonstration Track: Up to $3 million for implementing sustainable mobility services. Eligible Projects: Include shared bikes, e-bikes, e-scooters, on-demand electric ride-hailing, and small-scale public transit services.
