Lyme disease sometimes presents with a bull’s-eye rash, but not always. Some patients develop rashes that look different, while others never get a rash at all. Six days after a tick bite, a 69-year-old woman from West Virginia saw a doctor for an itchy purple rash on her abdomen and various lesions around her chest and arms, among other symptoms. She was diagnosed with Lyme disease and promptly treated, but others aren't so lucky, and better education for healthcare providers is needed. Check out the case study on Cureus Journal of Medical Science: https://lnkd.in/eNrPCwKC Learn more about the different types of Lyme rashes on our website: https://lnkd.in/eBCCvPvD #projectlyme #lyme #tickbornediseases #lymediseaseawareness #chronicillness #chronicpain #health #tickbite #bacteria #medicine #rash #science #research
