If you're not doing investor updates, you're practically begging to be ignored. Investors don't want constant updates...but they DO want to hear from you. There’s a way to do it right. Here's how to keep them in the loop without being needy: - Have a 2-tier investor update list (potential vs. existing) - Set up a template - Be consistent, be professional - Keep it short Stop pitching 1000s of investors to get a few meetings. The best thing you can do: stay on their radar, low-maintenance. Tomorrow, I'll show 1,161 founders how to keep investors warm. If you want to close your round faster. don’t miss this. 📢 Newsletter link in the featured section of my profile.

I think of our clients as my teammates. We all have the same goal – to figure out a way to enjoy life, maximize our potential, and protect our nest egg along the way. This is why this picture from Morton Wealth’s 2023 Investor Symposium is so meaningful. We were all truly in it together on this day. It was invigorating seeing my teammates in the crowd. Everyone in the room is investing into themselves and their future potential. It’s why we do what we do. #betterinvestor

🤑 Founders that do investor prep raise millions more than those who don’t. 🤑 You’re not going to get taken seriously when you: ❌ Mail-merge spam a list of 2,500 investors ❌ Skip the prep & just try to go straight for the sale ❌ Don’t look deeper in the “why” behind investors’ decisions If you want the money, you’re not allowed to approach any more investors until you do this. 👇 ➜ Find your investor fit ➜ Figure out how to get in ➜ Learn more about your dream investors Tomorrow, I'll show 1,129 founders how to do investor prep like a pro. If you want VCs to take you seriously, don’t miss this. You can find my newsletter link in the 𝒇𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 of my profile. See you there. 💰

It's been a few weeks since our Tech team had the opportunity to attend the 36th Annual Roth Conference in Dana Point, CA and they're still buzzing with excitement. From attending fireside chats with industry professionals to hosting a happy hour event and watching Marshmello and Nate Smith give incredible performances, this year's ROTH was one for the ages. In looking back at some of the insights learned from this year's conference, our team was able to share with us some nuggets of wisdom that have been proven valuable to currently publicly traded companies and those looking to IPO in the near future: 🎯 Act like a public company before you are a public company. Set yourself up for success and execute on key regulatory needs and reporting beforehand. 🏗️ Relationship building is key when raising capital. Find ways to connect in person and establish a group of trusted advisors. ⛓️ Supply chain efficiency is paramount to staying competitive. You need to own this information. 📈 Data is key. I help Investors Create a Legacy of Wealth and Impact | Top CRE Real Estate Coach | Impact Investor | Hit the link directly below to join my Impact mastermind
This week an old friend asked me over dinner: ”Why do you partner with other people on your deals? Doesn’t that take away profit from you?“. But although this might seem an obvious yes. It’s actually the exact opposite, and here’s why ⤵️ Over the last few years, I’ve built my portfolio to $70M+ in multi-family real estate. (So, as you can imagine at this point I have an idea what I’m doing 😂) And often for investors that means from there on out, going it alone. But for me, I want to pull in the most qualified people to add value to investors. Take my most recent Impact Growth Fund for example. We partnered with Jon Weiskopf the Founder of Blue Eyed Capital. - He’s the Ex-Head of Engineering at Apple. - He has $15,000,000+ in his own business. - He’s a world expert on engineering & sustainability. (Not a bad guy to have on your team!) And yes, although Jon will take part in the upside success of the deal. The value he brings to the project for both us, our residents, and our investors is tenfold! So, is it worth partnering with people on deals? In my opinion absolutely! The only catch is, they have to be the right person ✅ ___ P.S. No, it wasn't this dinner, but damn this one was good!
