Founder, Brand Strategist, and Creative Partner // If you can't out-spend the competition, you've got to out-brand them.

Make no mistake - how you treat your employees is a brand play. Let me explain. I was already aware of Once Upon a Farm, but this honest praise for a dedicated intern planted a seed in my mind (as an outsider completely unaffiliated with the company) that this is a brand with genuine integrity behind it. They don't seem to be doing it for likes, or sales, or web traffic. There are not likely KPIs set against it, no data reports will be pulled to measure it's effectiveness, but that doesn't mean it's not a smart marketing move. It effects how we see and feel about them. Which effects purchasing intent. Not everything is measured in CTRs and ROAS, folks.

So many of you were invested in the post about my fabulous intern Sophia Salgado that I wanted to share some amazing news from Once Upon a Farm. Even though her internship doesn't end for a couple of months we put forth a job offer, and she accepted!! I feel so lucky that she said yes and honestly don't know what we would do without her. She will work directly with me for about a year as a cross-departmental foundation build before heading on whatever path she feels passionate about developing. Congratulations to both you and us Sophia! Here we are volunteering on an orchard during our All Company Offsite.
