Have you heard of the concept of Women-Centric Cancer Care a.k.a. #WCCC?💡 🔦 WCCC focuses on the unique needs of women in cancer treatment and care and is a concrete step towards the call from the Lancet Commission on Women, Power, and Cancer to advance a more women-centric approach to cancer. The FemTechnology Summit focused on this concept because an examination of cancer care data revealed disparities in the experiences of women, shedding light on the urgent need identified during last year's summit, which took place in Basel in June. While summit stakeholders affirmed that patient-centric care leads to better outcomes, it was recognized that women's access to such care is often limited. In response, they are advocating for #WCCC to improve the healthcare system to better meet the needs of women facing cancer. Based on collaborative efforts, a discussion paper was launched to highlight the approach and draw attention to steps forward in solving the challenges in #womenshealth, through partnerships among stakeholders in healthcare. For us at #RocheInnolab it was a privilege to be part of the team behind it. 👉 Download the full report here: https://lnkd.in/gncvi2A2 🙌 Kudos to all Roche & Genentech authors and collaborators: Amy Bruhn | Paul Chilwesa | Aline Clauss | Antje Knöll | Nicola Marcon | Melinda Morimoto | Gilbert Eigbokhan Ogbewele | Stephanie Sassman | Michelle Snowden | Kyle Srinivasan | Eva Sum | Blessing Tawari | Bettina Zimmermann #XProject #womenhealth

@Roche Digital InnoLab - thanks to each of you who made the FemTechnology Summit last June at Roche possible that helped to lead to this discussion paper including Xavier Mundet, Alberto Tomatis, Nicola Marcon, Mara Hummel, and so many others. Thank you for your commitment to advancing the health of women globally - including those living with cancer. Your partnership with Oriana Kraft and the FemTechnology Summit to bring together stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem is an example of how real change can be catalyzed.

Thank you so much for spreading the word about our Discussion paper! As an incubator of innovative ideas I hope that Innolab is able to spread these ideas in the entrepreneurial community to drive change for women’s cancer care. 🧡🧡
