Congratulations on such incredible progress to you and your team, Ann Aerts! It was also wonderful to see, Päivi Sillanaukee, representing #Finland, with whom we have been collaborating on the Digital Health Exemplars research with Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health The Center for Global Digital Health Innovation. Attending the Novartis Foundation's #AI4HealthyCities event highlighted the transformative power of AI in reimagining #publichealth, especially in collaboration with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. As a native #NewYorker it's exciting to hear about efforts to create a single source of truth that tells the full story of the city's health with a focus on #cardiovasculardisease - the leading cause of death in NYC. Health is a team sport, requiring us to look both inside and outside our health systems to gain a comprehensive view. By driving meaningful insights and addressing inequities, we can ensure that our models truly reflect the diverse contexts of our communities. For those of us living in cities, it's essential to make sure our unique challenges are reflected in policies and global health governance. The #HealthyNYC Game Plan is a bold #populationhealth agenda aimed at increasing life expectancy by tackling preventable deaths, codified into law and reported on annually. Learning from global leaders like #Finland, we see the importance of integrating services tied to the social determinants of health with health services and data to better understand how lifestyle and behavior impact #healthoutcomes. Ultimately, the most personalized care is #selfcare - empowered by data-driven education and hyper-personalization. We need to co-develop solutions that engage people within their specific contexts, leveraging collective brainpower for true precision population health. By understanding motivations and fostering social change, we can pave the way for healthier, more resilient communities. 🌍 #AIforHealth #PopulationHealth #CardiovascularHealth

🗳️Don’t miss your chance to cast your vote for SXSW 2025! In true “democratizing the imagination of the future” fashion (which you can learn about at one of my proposed panels, detailed below), the people have a say in whether my future-oriented panels will be on the agenda for SXSW’s March 2025 conference. Community input is a major deciding factor for the conference producers, so whether you’re planning to attend the conference or not, please take a few moments to vote for my panels! You can express interest in as many sessions as you’d like before August 18th. 🟣Boldly Reimagining the Future of Health: https://lnkd.in/eWV3P5tg Futures thinking is for everyone! At RWJF my team and I have been supporting and working with some amazing futurists from a wide range of backgrounds. They are using unique tools and experiences to create the time, space, and expertise for everyone to imagine healthier, more equitable futures. In this panel, we’ll talk about what the Foundation has learned about democratizing the imagination of the future, why it’s important, and how YOU can try this in your own work. 🟣Share your Hunch to Change the World: https://lnkd.in/eBPB5NJs Hosting hunch jams—where I bring folks from any and all backgrounds together to share their hunches about the future—is one of my favorite parts of my job. Dr James O'Donovan, Research Director at Community Health Impact Coalition had the brilliant idea to feature Laura Cordier, Executive Director of Pivot Works, Inc. in his great series Profiles in Global Health. Both CHIC and Pivot are making strides to ensure equity in health for all people. ----------- What inspires you to work in Global Health? “This is a question that drives me everyday: Why do millions of people still die of preventable and treatable illnesses? I am passionate about trying to move that needle - from a child having access to life saving routine vaccination to a mother being able to safely deliver in a dignified space. Until then, we have work to do.” Who has been the biggest influence to date in your career? “Paul Farmer has had a remarkable influence on my career. His vision always spoke to me, which is why when Pivot was created as a mission organization to Partners in #Health, I jumped at the opportunity to join the team. I was able to align my data science skillset to an area of work I was passionate about.” One book or article you would recommend to anyone interested in learning more about global health? “Mountains beyond Mountains” by Paul Farmer. Fun fact : I applied for my master's degree at the London School of Hygiene and Public Health a week after reading that book." One bit of advice you would give to someone interested in working in global health? “You need to enter the space with the absolute humility that you do not have all the answers and that you need to learn and to do the work with the community that you are serving - but not just on paper, with actual, candid and radical intention. Someone interested in global health today needs to be ready to shape the future of global health." What do you enjoy about working with Community Health Impact Coalition? “CHIC is aiming to change the status quo of global health - especially around community health workers. It’s an honor to be on that journey.” More on our support to Pivot: https://lnkd.in/dqVJGUz2 More on our support to CHIC: https://lnkd.in/eCDWccc9

Co-Founder & CEO of Humanity - On a mission to extend healthspan. Founder. CEO. Investor. Board Member. Speaker. Community Builder.
💡 There's something we believe very strongly in at Humanity Inc: 💯 Everyone should be able to access and understand their Biological Age (functional age based on current disease risk versus chronological age) and be able to easily track it over time. 📈 Why? Because this knowledge can inspire healthier choices and guide us towards healthier, longer lives. 🤝 That’s why I’m excited to announce our partnership with Expand Health. 🔗 Through the Humanity Inc Age API, Expand Health can seamlessly integrate biological age tracking in to their testing management platform so that it's accessible by their patients, practitioners and partners - supercharging their healthspan-focused care. ✨ We couldn’t ask for more mission-aligned partners than Emilian Popa, Jack H., and their team, including Tessa Glyn. 🙏 Special thanks to Longevity.Technology and Eleanor Garth for sharing this milestone with the community. 👏 Lastly, a huge shoutout to Henry Whicheloe, Michael D. Geer, and the entire Humanity Inc team for delivering something so impactful and scalable in such a short timeframe. Amazing work guys! 👇 Want to discover your Biological Age? Let me know in the comments below, where you will also find a link to the Longevity.Technology article announcing this strategic partnership. #humanity #longevity #healthspan #biologicalage #rateofaging
