What a great ***** read 🎯 a clear vision on the Future of Media in “The Crash of 2033”, and what lead up to it. A thorough and accurate review of major disruptive market and tech shifts and their transformative effect on the media industry. A mandatory read for all #OTT and #Broadcast media professionals to solidify their strategies for the #FutureofMedia. It's kind of hard to watch as more people, with advertisers close behind, gravitate towards the increasingly fragmented #streaming abyss of big and smaller tech. Here, content is abundant, conveniently available on all devices, and (still) offered at an affordable cost. Meanwhile, traditional media finds itself desperately playing catch-up. They once held all the cards, yet they cling to outdated strategies of content bundling and replicating tired media narratives on modern platforms. I really appreciate the balanced, and insightful reviews of these complex, disruptive shifts. It resonates well with me perhaps because our team is aligned with the thinking, and we've been testing and implementing some of the technical suggested solutions in our testbed and even deploying some of them at customers at a smaller scale for years.🙂 Further to the Faultline thinking ► Traditional media's struggle reminds me a lot of #Nokia's downfall.
