Urban terrorism is a growing and complex threat that has brought warfare directly into our cities. The rise of urban warfare disrupts daily life, destroys communities, and exposes civilians to unprecedented risks. Cities, once centers of growth and culture, are becoming battlegrounds for extremists and terrorist groups. The question is: how can governments and international organizations protect urban spaces while maintaining the delicate balance between security and civil rights?
Furthermore, as we see more frequent attacks in cities, traditional military tactics are being tested in an urban landscape. Combatants blend into civilian populations, making defense strategies even more challenging. The ethical dilemmas surrounding collateral damage and human rights violations come to the forefront, adding to the complexity of urban warfare.
