Q&A with James Nelson, Creative Director for Rosie Lee Creative, pt3 How do you define Rosie Lee and its work? To the layperson I would say we do graphic and spatial design as it’s fairly easy to picture even if it's a massive undersell. If talking to someone who understands the field, I’d say we create brand experiences in whatever form is needed. What makes RLC different to other agencies? The spectrum of experience in both the people and projects is quite broad, which means we tackle problems with an open mind when envisioning the outcome of a project. We’re not locked to a particular discipline or medium being the answer to a problem. We also prioritise envisioning the experience for the intended audience. What are they interested in? What will engage them? Will they understand what we’re trying to communicate? Advice for people starting out in creative industries? Be open-minded. Don’t listen to people who are closed-minded.
