I had the pleasure of doing a final interview/employment offer with a new part time team member at Sundown Security (E & JK Enterprises), as it renewed my passion for how we do business. This person is new to the industry, but wanted to join our team because of the impact we do and can make with the unhoused population. A successful security personnel employee balances authority with compassion interacting with the individuals we encounter when on a post or patrol shift. The client has asked us to secure their assets, customers, and staff. And we're successful because of how we address people who often (not always) mean no harm, just looking for a place to rest. No matter who we're interacting with we put customer service first. Assess the situation, act accordingly, and it will be a successful encounter.
