Once considered the bridge between employees and management, HR seems to have reduced its role to simply following instructions, often at the expense of fairness and employee welfare. Where HR policies once aimed to protect and empower employees, they now appear to be mere formalities – words on paper that lack true action or intent. This shift raises critical questions: Is HR still the advocate for employees that it once was? Are organizations prioritizing compliance over genuine employee engagement? And most importantly, where does this leave the employees who rely on HR for support and guidance? As businesses grow and evolve, so should HR. It's high time for companies to revisit the core principles of what HR stands for—ensuring transparency, fair treatment, and open communication.
