The Variety Bash kicks off this year in the middle of Dubbo's Western Plain Zoo at Bash's Billabong and then heads north to Queensland, following the path of the original bash 40 years ago. Along the way, we will stop off at local primary schools, where Variety - the Children's Charity NSW/ACT will donate much-needed resources to help children in need. At each school, we dress up as Darth Vader and his Stormtroopers and hand out lightsabers to the kids. We love putting a smile on their faces. There are only three weeks until we head off to the 2024 Variety Bash. We can't wait to share our adventures with you! We extend a huge thank you to Assistance League of Atlanta, which has recently partnered with 3Keys to donate essential items for our residents. This partnership means that our residents—many of whom arrive with little to nothing more than the clothes they are wearing—will receive welcome kits with new bedding, shower shoes, pots and pans, laundry pods, towels, and much more. Assistance League of Atlanta is also assisting with our activities program by donating supplies that enable us to continue offering meaningful activities for our residents. Started by our very own plant clerk Kim Payne nearly a decade ago, we partner with fellow members of our local communities such as churches, schools and service organizations to help keep families safe and warm during the cold winter months. It was lovely to have Richard over to the hospice last week to say thank you and show him what this wonderful donation will go towards. Air Products run a fantastic Scheme which helps them reach safety targets and also empowers their staff to have a positive impact on their local community. The CHASE Scheme (CHArities and Safety Excellence) allows staff to raise money for their chosen charity through reaching safety targets at work. What an amazing way to fundraise! Through this scheme the Bardon team have raised over £6000 for us and we cannot thank them enough for their commitment to helping us continue to offer vital care and support to babies, children and young people with life limiting conditions across the East Midlands 🌈 Lynn Willacy Sandra Brathwaite

These children often lack independent living skills and encounter numerous obstacles, sometimes without supportive community networks. It's disheartening that they have to leave the system without the support and love of a family.
