Tough Tech Week in Boston! For us the highlight was participating Activate Demo Day at The Engine Accelerator. Overall it was an exciting week for the Boston ecosystem which brought together all the most driven teams working in this space.

Last week Ian and Ethan introduced rStream's mission to the Activate-Boston network during the annual Meet the Cohort Event. Alongside was a great moment with Galen Nelson from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center discussing their role and vision for the Commonwealth's climate goals. As always, it was great to connect with new and old faces, sharing rStream’s mission and what’s to come. Stay tuned for more updates as those things come to life!

Congratulations to rStream cofounders Ian Goodine and Ethan Walko for being selected to Cohort 2024 of the Activate Fellowship! The Activate Fellowship is a two year funded position transforming scientists into high-impact entrepreneurs. Activate supports fellows working to reinvent the world by launching startups to address climate change and other global challenges. Since 2015, Activate Fellow led startups have broken world records, created new market categories, and attracted over $2.3B in follow on investment from top investors and corporations. In 2024, 62 new Activate Fellows were selected from over 1000 applicants representing 33 countries and 45 states. #science #entrepreneurship https://lnkd.in/eyQeYRz5

This week, rStream's founders Ian Goodine and Ethan Walko met with Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey and Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll! We were able to connect on the state's ambitious initiatives in both #climate and #robotics, and rStream's pivotal role in empowering materials management companies and their clients to optimize the capture of materials for #manufacturing through a circular economy. It was an honor to represent the MassRobotics Accelerator cohort and Massachusetts Technology Collaborative.

Looking back on the MassRecycle conference last week. We had a great time connecting passionate recyclers from across the state and talking about how rStream is building technology to sort smart. rStream has been selected to the MassRobotics Accelerator's inaugural cohort! Week 1 of 12 was off to the races with rapid introductions to the program, the people, and the ecosystem capped off with a pitch about rStream to the program partners like Amazon Fulfillment Technologies & Robotics, AMD, Festo and more. Proud to share rStream has been awarded with both the CleanTech Eddie and Overall Ecosystem Choice Award from The #Eddies Program hosted by the Massachusetts Innovation Network! This comes after participating in their 5-month accelerator program receiving guidance and mentorship from Sophia Kambanis and a team of expert mentors. We are so excited to have participated in this program alongside many other #startups across the #innovation ecosystem ranging from #deeptech and #AI to #lifesciences. We are also humbled to join the list of Eddies winners that have impacted the trajectory of innovation across Massachusetts and the U.S. including HubSpot, MathWorks, MassChallenge, Ben & Jerry's, iRobot, Zipcar, Infinite Cooling, Osmoses, and many more. A look back on the #ClimatetechSummit at Greentown Labs. In the morning, rStream was selected to pitch in front of a packed house of investors, corporates, and partners. Our CEO, Ian Goodine, delivered an exciting pitch about our latest traction and the sustainable benefits rStream will create through advanced waste collection. In the afternoon, we demonstrated our #AI recognition and sorting #technology while fielding questions throughout the lab showcase. Just a year ago, this event was our first day in our new lab; today, the progress is beyond recognition. Stay tuned for next year!
