Remember how at home and in school you assessed your "abilities"? We're all different, right? Susie can write term papers. Charlie can ride horses. Paul can dream a new project into being. Kurt Roskopf has dreamed and worked to make disability barrier demolition his focus. Starting with a person he invited to participate in show water skiing (not in my skill set, but Kurt is a champion) who got turned away, Kurt has helped to sextuple the involvement by persons with disabilities in the sport of water skiing in Wisconsin. I learned this through a podcast, Doing Business with a Servant's Heart. You can watch it. 'Tis the season to do some "in reach", some review of life focus. I suspect you will find this to be inspirational. I met Kurt through the Happy Neighborhood Project. HNP is full of gems. Happy Neighborhood Project - HNP #smallbusinessowners

Run your Own Race When I talk in my keynote about comparison being healthy if we are focused on our own path I talk about life being like a track with many lanes each representing a unique journey. Staying in our own lane enables us to stay focused and let our purpose guide us. Comparison has no place here because every step forward is progress towards our own destination. Learn from others and notice what is going on around you but know that your path is the right one for you and stay focused on this. Next time why knowing our own tune helps us run our own race
