November Stats for an Inside Sales Rep: Dials: 1122/1200 ❌ Meetings booked: 11/12 ❌ Meetings attended: 11/12 ❌ Conversation to meeting conversion rate: 22.4% ✅ Some takeaways from the month: ⭐️ A slower month than usual, felt like I’ve hit the crossbar a few times. Numbers are slowing down as not many people want to talk this side of Christmas and understandably so. January will be a fruitful month; new year, new opportunities, new business. ⭐️ Although numbers didn’t soar this month, my professional development did. Attending the LegalEx show gave me a great opportunity to talk more about our product and have some great conversations with people. I also completed a business case for a new tool I wanted to implement into our work as a sales team which was approved by leadership. Again, something new for me but good to show my initiative and forward thinking. ⭐️ On a personal note, it’s been a great month too. Socialising, house hunting, family time. 2024 is ending better than it started and December is looking like it’s going to be a good one. More days out at the races please! With an impressive track record of tail-wagging and treat-fetching, Alfie has mastered the art of client relations. 🐶💼 He may not be able to draft a proposal, but he sure does know how to seal the deal with a head tilt, a tail wag & a decent fetch session! ⚽ When it comes to sales strategy, Alfie has a simple yet effective approach: - Bark Loudly: Make sure clients know you’re excited about their needs. - Fetch the Right Opportunities: Always be on the lookout for new leads (or tennis balls which is preferred). - Sit and Stay: Be patient and persistent with follow-ups (and treats, carrots & bananas are preferred) *CAUTION* sometimes he chooses favourites by rating treats. If you drop a marble and a bowling ball they hit the ground at the same time. At first this would seem to indicate that gravity exerts the same force on all objects - but in fact it does not. The bowling ball has far greater mass than the marble, and therefore gravity’s force on the bowling ball is far greater than the marbles. Gravity’s force is directly related to the mass of an object, in other words, it takes more effort for gravity to bring the bowling ball to the ground than the marble - even though they reach the ground at the same time. A top salesperson would never assume the same level of effort is required to close every sale. In ten successful sales, there’s a zero chance that the same amount of effort was applied to close each sale. We should be aware of this when reviewing performance statistics of a sales team. There are indeed important metrics that should be the same for every sale - but the effect of gravity should inspire us to amplify our efforts to close a particular sale when needed. Gravity does this automatically, with instantaneously perfect precision. Imagine being able to do that as a salesperson. Make it your goal and you will.
