Tartan Today. Tartans continue to be designed and registered with the relevant Scottish authorities, both by large corporations and by private individuals.
A clan tartan is a patterned fabric associated with Scottish clans and families of Scotland. Most Scottish clans have their own distinctive tartan patterns which represent their identity. The earliest reliably documented tartans date to the late 18th century, though they became popular worldwide in the 19th century. Tartan designs consist of criss-crossed horizontal and vertical bands in multiple colors. The colors and widths of the bands can differ between each tartan pattern. Traditional wool tartans use mainly muted colors like browns, greens, blues, and reds which were locally produced from natural dyes. Modern synthetic tartans have led to much bolder color combinations being used. Clan tartans first arose as a way for Highland clans to distinguish their members during times of war in the Scottish Highlands region. Each clan would have its own unique pattern so that its warriors could be identified as friendly even during the heat of battle. O - ch34tir8sp - https://flip.it/LIssFF

Clan tartan, also known as tartan, is a pattern consisting of criss-crossed horizontal and vertical bands in multiple colors. These bands may be plain or striped. Tartan originates from Scotland and is largely associated with Highland dress, including kilts. Tartan is an integral part of Scottish heritage and culture. Each Scottish clan would traditionally have its own unique tartan pattern to distinguish itself from other clans. Over time, various tartans became associated with certain clans and continues to be woven accordingly. 🏴 While some very old clan tartans exist, most were first recorded in the 19th century during a tartan craze. Weavers in Scotland developed different weaving techniques to create the intricate patterns of tartan. The colors used also had meaning such as reds symbolizing blood or bravery. Dyes came from natural plant and insect sources. Today, some modern tartans incorporate synthetic dyes - 59022mh7f4 - https://lnkd.in/ggFBa5G5

Clan tartans are patterns consisting of criss-crossed horizontal and vertical bands in multiple colours. These patterns were originally used by Scottish and Irish highland clans to uniquely identify themselves and their allies on the battlefield. Today, clan tartans remain an integral part of Scottish heritage and culture. Each clan has an officially registered tartan pattern that is uniquely associated with them. However, over the years there have been many additional tartan patterns produced that are not necessarily officially associated with any one clan. Tartan patterns range widely in their colour combinations but most use at least two or three colours that blend together harmoniously. Common colours include shades of red, green, blue, black and yellow. The earliest known references to Highland tartans date back to the late 16th century. However, it's believed that tartan patterns have been worn for much longer, perhaps as - xx80obs4gk - https://lnkd.in/ggFBa5G5

Clan tartans are fabric designs consisting of criss-crossed horizontal and vertical bands in multiple colors. Originally worn by Scottish and Irish Highland clans, each tartan pattern was associated with a particular clan. Today, clan tartans continue to represent connection to heritage and kinship among family lines. Some key details about the history and meanings behind clan tartans: Tartans are thought to have emerged as early as the 16th century as ways for Scotland's wealthy landowners to distinguish rank and social standing. Certain colors and patterns became specifically tied to individual family names. Over time, the associated tartans evolved into symbols of unity and pride for entire kinship groups. Even after the defeat of Scottish rebellions in the 18th century banned wearing tartan fabrics, clan patterns persisted symbolically and were revived as a cultural symbol in Victorian times. The main colors used in tartans tie to the natural l - amvhrrudic - https://flip.it/LIssFF

This was a fantastic process that involved integrating Gen ai into the design process... With flow lines inspired by the brand and it's ethos... material research >> idea generation>> form finding >> structural testing >> 3D design >> scaled prototype build >> iteration >> approvals >> final build >> iteration >> finishing And yes, we built out what AI helped us design. cheers. salut. sante. #thinkhappyeveryday #creativeproblemsolving
