This strategic move, endorsed by the Master Blaster himself, Sachin Tendulkar, is poised to disrupt the existing landscape of the ₹20 snack segment. A Direct Challenge to Established Brands This Mini Bakarwadi pack directly challenges established snack brands like Haldiram's, Balaji Wafers, Bhikaji, and other local and national players. While Haldiram's already offers a mini Bakarwadi pack, this new offering from Chitale Bandhu, with the added star power of Sachin Tendulkar, presents a strong competitor. Balaji Wafers, primarily known for potato chips, does not currently have a similar offering. Product Details Product Chitale Bandhu Mini Bakarwadi Price ₹20 Weight 50 grams Manufactured by Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale, Post Ranje, Taluka Bhor, District Pune City Packing Material Manufactured by Veedee Enterprises, Umbergaon, Valsad, Gujarat The Bakarwadi Advantage Chitale Bandhu's Mini Bakarwadi offers a unique advantage: it's a well-established and beloved traditional Indian snack. This gives it a distinct edge over typical potato chips and other namkeen snacks. The ₹20 price point makes it an incredibly attractive option for consumers looking for a quick and tasty snack. Will Bakarwadi Masala Chips Be Next? With Balaji Wafers and Lay's dominating the potato chip market, the question arises: will they respond by introducing their own Bakarwadi-flavored potato chips? This could be a significant development in the snack market, blending traditional and modern flavors. A Winning Combo: Taste and Value The Mini Bakarwadi pack is not just about affordability; it's about delivering a quality snack at a great price. It's the perfect accompaniment for tea or coffee, satisfying those mid-meal cravings. The Underdog Story of How a Small Indian Snack Company Became a $10 Billion Empire A small, family-owned snack shop in Bikaner, Rajasthan that started in 1937 is now valued at over INR 80000 CRORE - more than Domino's Pizza and Burger King combined! 🤯 The entry of McDonald's in the 1990s was seen as a threat to traditional Indian snack vendors. Despite foreign brands' vast budgets and global recognition, Haldiram's not only survived but they flourished. They remained true to their roots and innovated, enhancing their traditional Indian flavors and quality while modernizing packaging and marketing. ⭐️Key Factors Contributing to Success 1. Expansion from one Bikaner shop to over 5000+ outlets worldwide 2. Diverse product range, from traditional bhujia to Western snacks 3. Operates the world's LARGEST fully-automated plant with a capacity of 8000 metric tonnes monthly [equals the weight of about 2000 elephants! ] 4. Annual revenue surpasses INR 150 Crores with a 25% CAGR in the last 5 years 5. Dominates the Indian snack market with a 25% share 6. Products are exported to over 80 countries, including the UK, USA, and Australia 7. QSR Segment: The wide presence of Haldiram Restaurants contribute 15% to it’s revenue . Not bad for a business built on bhujia and rasgullas! What I love about Haldiram's success is how Haldiram's incredible growth demonstrates the massive opportunity in India's snack food sector, projected to reach INR 1800 Crores by 2025. The company balances tradition and innovation - keeping authentic Indian tastes while also experimenting with fusion flavors. This winning formula appeals both in India and abroad. Does Haldiram's $10 billion milestone surprise you? What has your experience been with their products? Share your thoughts below!

Wish to know the truth about Ice-creams and Frozen Desserts? In 2017 the brand Amul aired an advertisement showing how consumers are cheated in the name of ice cream and served frozen desert instead. Hindustan Unilever (HUL) and Vadilal Group joined forces to take on “Amul” ice cream maker Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) over this television commercial, which allegedly belittles “frozen desserts”. HUL that owns Kwality Walls alleged in Bombay High Court that such advertisement is misleading. Vadilal which also manufactures frozen desert showed common interest in the matter. HUL wanted removal of the ad whereas, GCMMF alleged that it educated the consumers and helped them spot the difference between two relatively close terms that is ice cream and frozen desert (one being prepared from milk and the other one from vegetable oil). A frozen desert must contain the tag of “frozen desert” on the product. Later on, according to the orders of Bombay HC the ad was taken off air. However, it certainly helped in creating some awareness about the difference between ice cream and frozen desserts amongst consumers. Though frozen desserts are now being labelled as such even then the fact remains that majority of consumers, as also ice cream sellers are not aware of the difference and buy/sell frozen desserts under the impression that it is ice cream! #icecream #jagograhakjago #consumersindia #drjayashreeguptablog #heyconsumer #humanrights #misleadingads #globalwarming #health #frozendessert https://lnkd.in/dUxN7kB

Snack time is getting more exciting! 📣 Indian snacks are becoming more flavorful and unique, with regional tastes leading the way. From the crispy khakhra of Gujarat to the spicy murukku of Tamil Nadu, traditional snacks are experiencing a resurgence in popularity. Regional brands like A1 Khandeshi are playing a pivotal role in bringing these authentic tastes to the forefront. By offering a wide range of traditional snacks, these brands are catering to the growing demand for unique and flavorful experiences. The rise of regional snacking is driven by several factors. Firstly, consumers are increasingly seeking authentic experiences and are tired of the monotony of mass-produced snacks. Secondly, there is a growing sense of pride in local heritage, and people are eager to support businesses that celebrate their regional roots. Finally, the awareness of the benefits of supporting small businesses is on the rise, and consumers are actively seeking out local brands. Moreover, consumers are also placing a greater emphasis on quality over price. They are willing to pay a premium for snacks that are made with high-quality ingredients and offer a superior taste experience. This shift in consumer preferences is further driving the growth of regional snacking brands. As regional snacking continues to gain momentum, we can expect to see even greater innovation and diversity in the market. #regionalflavors #indiansnacking #A1Khandeshi

Reimagining traditional snacking for the modern consumers ! Take a moment to walk through any supermarket's snack aisle. What do you notice? Branded western snacks with vibrant, eye-catching packaging dominates the shelves, enticing consumers with their sheer appeal (let me not get into the back of pack at least in this post🤐). The regional snacking section despite such rich and diverse flavours, is still fairly unorganised and often couldn't catch the same attention especially with the modern consumers, mostly missing out on the branding, content, and packaging aspect. Sweet Karam Coffee is on a mission to reimagine the South Indian snacking space with a brand that proudly represents the voice of the South, bleeds authenticity in its taste, stands for clean ingredients and is known for its content driven contemporary packaging. We’re crafting a movement, blending our traditional flavors with better-for-you ingredients and packaging them in a way that speaks to modern consumers. Our goal is to take the taste and tales of South India to the world stage, making our snacks a global phenomenon. It’s not just about selling snacks; it’s about celebrating heritage, reinventing how we connect with it, and bringing the Good Food Revolution to life. It's been a year of transformation for SKC and we are super grateful to all our customers, well wishers, retailers and channel partners in this journey so far as we bring a slice of South India to every home—near or far 🙏 The revolution has begun, and it’s delicious ! #InPic : SKC range @ Q-Mart, Hyderabad #ExperienceSouthIndia #TheGoodFoodRevolution

One of the most popular foods in India is #burgers, which are connected to well-known global brands like Burger King and MC Donald's. However, by introducing a real grilled burger, an Indian homegrown company reversed this trend and is now in direct competition with major rivals. Biraja Rout started out with just Rs 20K and set out to introduce real grilled burgers to #Indian consumers. Since then, she has grown her QSR business to be valued at over Rs 100 Crore. Rout, who was working as an IT expert and had recently moved to #Bangalore, was 21 years old when he took his first mouthful of a delicious burger, which completely changed his life. For him, a burger was a whole meal that could satisfy his appetite, not just a snack. But he soon discovered that only international companies, such as KFC and McDonald's, controlled the burger #market and that there was no homegrown Indian brand that was well-known for its burgers. Around this time, he began to have dreams of starting his own network of Biggies Burger restaurants. He left #Infosys to launch his new venture. Biggies Burger was founded with the intention of introducing real grilled burgers to India and developing a domestic QSR brand that appeals to the regional palate. We wanted to provide a distinctive eating experience where patrons could savor delectable burgers that encapsulate the spirit of #India," Raut stated. We started out as a tiny stand in Bangalore's Electronic City, where we honed our grilled burger recipes and built a devoted following of patrons. In order to promote #growth and raise brand awareness, we concentrated on low-cost marketing techniques, word-of-mouth recommendations, and ongoing innovation," Raut stated. Biggies Burger is currently the biggest and most adored domestic burger brand in India, with a revenue of Rs 100 crore in 2023. It all began with an everlasting enthusiasm and resolve to spread its presence across several cities and regions. The next step for Biraja is to expand Biggies Burger to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in the hopes of growing the #company to a revenue of Rs 200 crore. Biggies Burger has grown to 130 locations across 28 cities and 14 states because to his undying dedication and perseverance, and it has sold over 50 lakh burgers to date. We used a franchise model, which allowed us to scale quickly without sacrificing #quality control, to further spur our expansion. We took great care to choose franchise partners that were as passionate about providing exceptional dining experiences as we were. By 2024, we want to have 350 stores in our network," Raut declared. www.tycoonstory.com #BirajaRout #BiggiesBurger #Entrepreneur #StartupSuccess #BurgerLover #FoodEntrepreneur #BusinessLeader #Innovation #FoodIndustry #BurgerChain #SuccessStory #Inspiration #YoungEntrepreneur #BusinessMindset #FoodBusiness Biraja Rout Biggies Burger
