If you've worked with me before, you'll know that I love telling stories with data. What's even better is when these stories spark a conversation, which is precisely what happened when we worked with our fantastic client, Making Moves London, on their 'Family-Friendly Index', which investigated the best areas in London for working families in 2024.
If I'm honest with you – I was a little worried at first as just before we pressed live, The Sunday Times released their list of the best areas to live in the UK, naming different places in London to our research.
After I flagged this with the client, they brought to the table a fantastic hook I hadn't thought of. While The Sunday Times list is good, it isn't always realistic. It includes areas in London that aren't always affordable and don't suit working families in 2024.
We integrated this hook into our media pitches and, so far, have received links and press mentions on Metro, Time Out and 14 other local news outlets – just from the initial outreach.
What's more, the campaign has sparked a conversation on social media, being featured on The Shade Borough's Instagram account, which has 814,000 followers. Just a single post on the story has generated 20,451 likes and 1,220 comments in four days. And we're not done yet—we will continue reangling and sharing the data to keep earning links and features for the campaign.
Good digital PR earns links. Great digital PR works with the client to shape the story. Excellent digital PR does all of this and works across channel, enhances brand awareness, and creates conversations around your brand.
Our recent study names Bromley as London’s best borough for working families! 🏡
Analysis of all 32 boroughs found Bromley scoring the highest on factors like crime rates, green spaces, schools, and job opportunities.
Thank you Metro.co.uk for publishing some of the key findings, and a big shout-out to our Director of Operations, Sally Evans, for providing commentary. 👏
