VP, Global Marketing @ San Francisco Travel | Generated $150M+ in revenue & 1+ million followers for entertainment and travel brands
Looks like Karl the Fog rolled in and temporarily obscured our first post. But hey, if our city can reinvent itself, so can we! Take 2, action! I'm incredibly proud to share the "Heart of the City" video series. 7 neighborhoods, 7 films, 1 love letter to San Francisco. This project wouldn't have been possible without our amazing team: - Lynn Bruni-Perkins, CDME: Unwavering leadership support - Tyler Cohn: MVP from strategy to launch. The glue of this project. - Charles Rubinoff: Invaluable on-location and editing insights - Louis Raphael: Crafted a stunning digital home for the series - Aaron Danzig: Look out for all our social content - Maddie Pratt: Kept our content marketing machine running smoothly - Brenton Gieser and Estevan Padilla (LvL Films): You both went above and beyond as our filmmaking partners And let's not forget the real stars of this show: the San Franciscans who opened their doors and hearts to us. Nearly two dozen locals who didn't just tell their stories but lived them right in front of our cameras. Their honesty, their love, their unwavering belief in SF's magic – that's what makes this project truly special. These folks remind us why San Francisco isn't just another dot on the map. It's a living, breathing, one-of-a-kind place that keeps reinventing itself while never losing its soul. --- If you still believe in the magic of San Francisco, repost ♻️ this to your network.
San Francisco's heart beats in its neighborhoods. Our Heart of the City campaign celebrates the authentic experiences that define us, showcasing the vibrant communities that shape our city's soul. We're reframing San Francisco's story, proving we're more than a destination—we're a tapestry of living, breathing communities. Each neighborhood pulses with its own rhythm, yet together, they create the symphony that is SF. Watch our inspiring anthem video and dive into our neighborhood series. Discover the heartbeat of our city, one vibrant community at a time. Find your heart: https://bit.ly/4edxyEs

Founder and Managing Principal at Greensfelder Real Estate Strategy and GlobeSt 2024 and 2021 Influencer in Retail Real Estate
Not for or against this idea. Just thinking it through from a #marketdemand perspective. Is #induceddemand the driving theory behind this proposal? If #visitor-driven, how will location relate to where most downtown #hotel rooms are located (ie. towards #UnionSquare)? We’re working on #downtown #masterplans across the #unitedstates right now, so interested to see how this evolves and if it’s a model for other cities. #retailresilience #communitydesign #economicdevelopment #downtownrecovery #sanfrancisco #retail #foodandbeverage
Today, I’m standing with Mayor Breed and Sen. Wiener to announce the first Entertinment Zone in California - Front Street! “Downtown San Francisco needs a nightlife renaissance post-pandemic. Launching California’s first ever entertainment zone on Front Street is significant and will catalyze more reasons to come downtown,” Robbie Silver, executive director of the Downtown SF Partnership, said in a statement. I'm so intrigued by this case of the Chew family in Red Bluff, CA that is trying to buy back their Chinatown building and petitioning for Right of First Refusal. They have been bidding on the purchase against the Resource Conservation District of Tehama County and their planned change of use to office. https://lnkd.in/gryG6C9K The case highlights a number of issues under discussion across North American Chinatowns: 1. Succession planning. Chew family descendants are now ready to take over the family legacy, based on personal, family and community values. It is never too late to take up this work. 2. Land use tools. The Chew family is requesting Right of First Refusal to purchase the historic Chew Yuen building to protect/restore the property for heritage and community use. Community land trusts rely on RFR to take property off the real estate market. 3. Reconciliation. Red Bluff is in the State of California in which four of its cities (LA, San Jose, Antioch, SF) have apologized for racist pasts against Chinese people. At what point do we move beyond apologies and general education into concrete actions? The legacy of TCM Dr. Chew Yuen dates back to and through the 1882 Chinese Exclusion Act in the US. Am I understanding the situation correctly? What am I missing or misunderstanding?

I found this picture in an office in Restoration. It is Franklin Thomas, Restoration’s, first President and CEO and Congresswoman Shirley Chisolm. What are they looking at and what are they planning: 1. What does the future economic landscape for our people look like for Bed-Stuy and Crown Heights? 2. How do we build an inclusive political landscape for the Black and Brown agenda for all of Brooklyn? 3. How do we make sure we are represented in corporate board rooms and what does a run for Congress (and President) look like? What do you think?
