How do we best leverage the federal support for improving water infrastructure? Between the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act, much needed investment in grey and green water infrastructure is moving from the planning to implementation phase. WRA worked with the Environmental Policy Innovation Center (EPIC) and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission to launch a Funding Navigator for the lower Delaware River Basin. Kevin Brophy has taken on that role and he is making a real difference helping utilities apply for and secure funding. EPIC has additional positions open - if you are ready for something new, check these out! #waterresources #waterinfrastructure #federalfunding

For those who have been reaching out about career opportunities in water related sectors, here’s an interesting outlook.
"Water careers are stable, well-paid, high-quality, and inclusive career opportunities, and no one seems to know about them." Citing the "silver tsunami" and innovation in water reuse as some of the reasons for the growing need for talent in the water sector, CWEA (California Water Environment Association) makes a convincing pitch for careers in utilities. https://buff.ly/3RnmoE1 #watersustainability #waterfuture #waterjobs

Public Engagement | PR & Media Relations | A Digital-First Leader who Solves Business Challenges with a Creative Mindset
In the past 20 years, we’ve seen community engagement on major utility projects move from being supplemental to being essential. As technology has made it easier to share information and gather feedback, stakeholders need to be able to use their voice conveniently, whether at a public open house, with a phone call or by sending an email. All this input – and the changes to how we gather information – makes for better projects. We can help clients deliver cleaner, more reliable and safe energy while taking into account what’s important to the local community. At Burns & McDonnell, we continue to look for new ways to increase participation, especially among historically disadvantaged communities. We work to help ensure all views are presented as decisions are made on where to build infrastructure. And we’re using everything from new technologies to old-fashioned face-to-face meetings to get that input, track the project’s commitments to stakeholders, and help our clients to be successful. Here’s to continued progress! #GlobalEngagementDay
