Financial Therapist + Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®️)| Award Winning Thought Leader On Financial Trauma | Forbes Contributor | Speaker
I wrote an article for Forbes about this earlier this year (attached) and it’s something I’ve been thinking about ever since. With information around the wealth and wage gap making its rounds in the realm of diversity and inclusion work, there isn’t often a solution offered to help those navigating this new space of financial security or upward mobility beyond a pat on the back about how well they were able to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. With the turn of the year I’m going to spend more time using my financial counseling and financial therapy skills to support the first generation high income Black professional who may not be ready to see a CFP but need some support. I wonder, can you relate to this experience? How do you personally establish boundaries in balancing your financial health and values aligned to supporting your family and community? #diversityandinclusion #financialcounseling #financialtherapy

Led by Ngunan Adamu and the iWoman Academy team, this transformative program offers a 12-month journey from credit challenges to financial resilience. Financial literacy is crucial for anyone striving to achieve financial stability and success. However, Black women entrepreneurs often face unique challenges due to intersecting factors such as racial and gender biases, lack of access to traditional financial resources, and systemic barriers. By bridging the financial literacy gap and promoting economic inclusion, "The 1000 Club" helps build a more equitable and prosperous society for all. Let's keep the momentum going 💪🏾

⭐️ Financial Planner to STEM Professionals, especially mid-career Black women STEM Pros | Speaker | Author | Fee-Only Financial Life-Planner Strategist | 2x Investopedia 100 Top Financial Advisors
“Anything worth having is worth waiting for.” 🌳“Money doesn’t grow on trees,” but Wouldn’t it be great if our money could grow like a tree? One thing about a tree is that it starts as a seed. A seed is very small but powerful. A typical seed includes three basic parts: (1) an embryo (2) a supply of nutrients for the embryo, (3) a seed coat The part of the seed that stands out the most to me is the supply of nutrients for the embryo. Just like a seed, we need to start somewhere with growing our money and get our supply of nutrients to help nourish it so that it can continue to grow. - Excerpt from 𝘐𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦: 𝘖𝘸𝘯 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘕𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦📚 When planning for your financial future, it’s important to understand that it takes time. ⏱️ It’s not unusual for your money to start small and grow over time.
