If you’ve been around Womack for any amount of time, you’ve likely heard us talk about our Heart to Care. What does this mean to us? Our Heart to Care means actively making our community a better place, selecting charity partners that hit close to home for our employees, and putting time and resources towards the greater good. It means that kindness and compassion are non-negotiables. It means linking arms to contribute to something bigger than ourselves. Our Heart to Care is an inseparable part of who we are. Consultant/ Project Controls/ Project Manager Professional/ Strategic Account Manager | If I can handle a 3 year-old, I can manage any project you throw at me!
I find it inspiring to see how Mountain View Printing & Graphics Ltd. has been quietly making a difference in our community by supporting organisations like Inn from the Cold, Calgary Food Bank, Calgary Humane Society, and Kingdom Coffee to name a few... How do other businesses out there integrate giving back into their business models? Whether it's through charitable donations, volunteering, or other forms of support, I'd love to hear about the creative ways companies are making a positive impact. #Question: As a small business, what unique approaches do you take to give back to your community, and how do you balance this with the demands of running your business? Is this something even on your radar? #yyc #GivingBack #CommunityImpact #SmallBusiness #CorporateResponsibility
If you could read the thought bubble over my head… This is what I’m thinking today: Behind the busy scenes—the crazy pace of our print business—nobody knows about the ways in which we support our local community. For years, we have been donating to and supporting local charitable organizations like: Inn from the Cold, Calgary Food Bank, Calgary Humane Society and Kingdom Coffee. As a small business owner, we can only do this if we’re successful. We can help make a difference because we have the capacity (and the compassion). It’s the other side nobody sees. If you’re a small business owner, how do you do it? #MVP #MVPrinters #MountainViewPrinting #Calgary #Alberta #GivingBack #Community

#donoradvisedfunds funds (#DAFs) and the East Bay Community Foundation mission-based funds are a great way to give to your local community. Consider making an online cash gift if you want it to count towards possible 2023 tax deduction. Otherwise, consider your philanthropy budget for 2024 and start preparing in January - that way you can fund your favorite cause areas in a steady manner throughout 2024 without having to wait until year-end. A #philanthropy budget is a great way to stay on target with your mission-based interests & cause areas versus responding to “asks” throughout the year and realizing you might have budget shortfall for areas you personally care about. #donoradvisedfunds #donors #taxdeductions #missiondriven
There's just a few days left in 2023 to make your tax-deductible donations to help create a sense of home and belonging for all East Bay residents. More than just four walls, home also means having family-sustaining jobs, healthy neighborhoods, nourishing arts and culture, equitable public services, and responsive local government. Join us and donate to create an East Bay where everyone can dream, heal, and belong. https://lnkd.in/eikf3z_w

Camden is a vibrant, multicultural borough, with 45.4% of Camden residents born outside the UK, contributing to its rich diversity, albeit with significant socio-economic challenges: - At 41%, Camden has the second-highest poverty rate in London. - Camden faces the worst housing affordability in the capital. - London’s Black and Asian communities have been disproportionately affected by the cost-of-living crisis. - Over 2 in 5 Bangladeshis and nearly 1 in 3 Black Londoners live in overcrowded housing conditions in Camden, which is considerably higher than the UK average. - There has been a 39% rise in hate crimes all over London in 2023 compared to 2022. Our incredible community researchers are examining the impact of structural racism on housing, education, employment, and safety across the borough. Findings from our research will inform policy recommendations aimed at key development areas, such as enhancing community infrastructure, improving educational quality with better cultural training and diverse curriculum design, and fostering pathways to employment through collaboration with local businesses. Join us in working to address and dismantle racial inequalities in Camden, and creating more just and inclusive communities for all!
It’s a political bus, but not as you know it. Camden Giving and our friends are heading to Birmingham to meet brap to prepare for a Community Assembly on Strucutal Racim in this September. Community members will be making reccomendations to local political leaders charities, police and businesses. Want to be part of a community-led recommendation? Today you can make an enormous impact in the lives of aspiring young athletes in Colorado by making a donation to Chance Sports through Youth Sports Giving Day! Starting September 4th, all donations will be matched DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR - doubling your impact! For many kids, participating in competitive sports has a profound impact that lasts a lifetime. From improved physical and mental health to better grades in school and developing leadership skills, participation in sports - particularly competitive sports - can be a game changer. But we also know that the costs associated with such participation - from club fees and travel to new gear and uniforms - can be a barrier for entry for many families, leaving their athletes on the sidelines. That’s where CHANCE SPORTS steps in to help. By providing partial scholarships to families with financial need, we are removing barriers and supporting our young athletes in their desire to PLAY! Equal opportunity levels the playing field and makes it about talent and not access. #youthsportsgivingday
Tomorrow is a big day for Chance Sports and the entire youth sports community in Colorado – it is the launch of the first Youth Sports Giving Day initiative! Championed by the Daniels Fund and supported by generous community partners like The Colorado Health Foundation, Denver Broncos Football Club Foundation, Alpine Bank, Rose Community Foundation, Anschutz Family Foundation, THE STROHM LINK FAMILY FOUNDATION, The Weld Trust and others, the giving campaign includes a DOLLAR-FOR-DOLLAR MATCH of more than $1 million for all online donations made starting September 4th Ready to give these kids a chance and make a difference? This is crucial. Also professionals in different fields should learn to listen to signals when to recognize abusive situations, and learn what to do in these situations.
Businesses in all sectors should be concerned about discovering workers who are victims of modern slavery in their supply chains. It is a growing problem. That is why Hope for Justice launched Slave-Free Alliance to help businesses protect themselves through expert consultancy, training, policy recommendations and more. All profits are reinvested in charitable anti-slavery projects. Find out more: https://lnkd.in/dveazKi
