This is very critical for those of us who may live by themselves! Is there someone who looks for you on a regular basis? For some of us who are use to going hard and forgetting to take time out and may be slowly sinking noticed! Thanks for shsringvtii go is article.
"At the World Championships in Budapest in June, USA’s Anita Alvarez sank to the bottom of the pool. Looking across the deck, then noticing she was under way too long, her coach, Andrea Fuentes immediately dove in after her fully clothed, pulling her to safety. Anita was unconscious and didn’t have the capacity to kick, paddle, or help herself in any way. If Andrea had not have noticed, she would have drown. But she knew Anita. She looked for her, quickly noticed she was under too long, (nore than normal) then dove in without thinking twice. This has resonated with me…. When you are under too long, who are the people that will look for you, notice you aren't surfacing, and dive in to pull you to the surface when you lose your strength to swim in life? Who are the people that would do that for you? And can someone count on you to be that person that would go looking and notice when they are under too long, diving in to support them when they are all out of fight and fuel to swim in these turbulent waters we call life? As a leader in the business world, it is harder to notice when your people are going under or have been under too long if you don't have significant meaningful interaction with them. In this age where a large number of employees telework, it is important to have points each week where you can check on them. When an employee starts feeling overwhelmed, they can quickly start spiraling downward. It is also important to create an environment where employees can come to you if they are struggling. As a leader how do you create an environment where you can see those going under? And does that environment encourage them come to you before they sink?

This message resonated with me, especially in our professional worlds. We get so caught up in the dollars, the initiatives, the checklists, that we forget the person sitting in that chair. As leaders, we are responsible for our teams and that isn’t isolated to their business tasks or responsibilities. How are they doing as a person? If they aren’t performing, are disengaged, etc, it might be an indication that something isn’t right. Rather that assuming our people aren’t performing, take a step back to consider the person, their obligations outside of work, the workload itself, and whether or not that person is actually in the right place. Know your people and watch for them. Care, ask. As leaders we simply need to do better.

In your team, it's crucial to recognise when they are overwhelmed. In today's digital age, communication often relies on digital messages or voice notes, reducing face-to-face interactions. Don't overlook signs of stress and pressure among your team. Set aside moments to relax, laugh, and bond. It's through these connections that we become attuned to detecting when someone might be struggling. #TeamWork #Communication #SupportiveEnvironment

Discover the official route of the Dakar Rally, the sixth edition of which will be held in Saudi Arabia from 3 to 17 January 2024. In total, the competitors will set off from Bisha for a distance of around 7,700 kilometres, including 5,100 kilometres of special stages. For the first time, five stages have been drawn on courses separating the FIM and FIA vehicles, representing 45% of all timed sectors. A total of 340 vehicles will take part in the famous event. Alongside the main race, the Dakar Classic will host 76 cars and 19 historic trucks that will compete in a regularity challenge, while the Mission 1000 challenge will allow five vehicles to test their innovative technologies. The first days of the Dakar 2025 will also serve as a springboard for a new generation of Saudi drivers, selected as part of the Saudi Next Gen operation, which will give access to the 2026 edition for the crew that has distinguished itself the most. Dakar 2025: a longer and more difficult "48h Chrono" stage In 2024, the Dakar drivers discovered the format of the 48h Chrono, a giant stage that extends over two days with an obligation to cut the engines at nightfall, scattered in minimalist rest areas lost (or almost) in the middle of the Saudi desert. For the 2025 edition, this unique challenge will once again be offered with a greater mileage (FIM, 958 km / FIA, 971 km), a variety of terrains on each of the two days, and a major deadline that arises from the third day of racing. The difficulties will follow one after the other since it will be necessary to combine performance and caution during the marathon stage that will lead to the rest day scheduled for January 10 in Ha'il. Nothing will be decided halfway through, given the copious menu that awaits all the competitors in the second week. It is on this portion of the event that most of the special stages separated between the motorcycle and car categories have been designed, with multiple benefits for the stakeholders involved. In sporting terms, the parallel routes force the co-drivers to ensure navigation without the help of the tracks left by the two wheels, and at the same time allow the cars to engage as soon as the first rays of sun appear. The prospect of riding at night in the dunes is fading, although the last days of racing in the Empty Quarter promise everyone an ocean of sand, especially for the 11th and penultimate stage. For the last stage, the starts will be given online. Direction Shubaytah again, for a final finish that will be judged for the first time in the heart of the bivouac.
