(image clipped from Jeff's video) I just watched a great, insightful video by YouTuber Jeff Delaney about the recent costs and consequences for real developers (cara.app) using tools like Vercel, Netlify, Heroku, etc. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/ehNvhr5x Here's my advice and words of warning. While I appreciate what these tools offer—quick setup and deployment capabilities—they can become a cost trap as your product scales, especially for new developers and startups. Remember: These tools are excellent for getting started, but to scale properly and avoid hefty bills, you'll eventually need to pivot. If you're struggling with the cost of running your applications in production, let's chat. We have a track record of reducing infrastructure costs on AWS by over half. Developers and MVP's. This year alone, I've seen 15 SaaS founders fail. They tried to build prematurely. They went directly to random developers and said, "Build my idea." In reality, they went to their bank account and said, "Burn my cash." This is the best way to set your capital on fire. You should engage developers after you have requirements. After you have designs. Not before. Developers are great with instructions. They're not great with non-technical directions. If you can't show the developer exactly what to build, be cautious. If you don't have defined requirements (i.e., jobs-to-be-done), be even more cautious.
