Hello #connections, In a recent strategic meeting, Dickens engaged with Rep. Don Davis, D-N.C., discussing civility and critical workforce needs. Davis represents a district heavily reliant on skilled labor, especially in agriculture and shipbuilding, vital sectors for the local economy. Joining Dickens was Misty Chally, Executive Director of the Critical Labor Coalition (CLC), established in 2022 to tackle the U.S. labor shortage. SHRM became a member of the CLC in 2024, emphasizing the need to address skills gaps and ensure employers access a qualified workforce.
