With plans to revitalize 300,000 hectares of forests, rehabilitate eight million hectares of pastureland, and plant 10 million trees in national parks, Saudi Arabia is committed to reducing carbon emissions and restoring biodiversity. Proudly leading the way for regenerative development, Red Sea Global is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coastline. In collaboration with المركز الوطني لتنمية الغطاء النباتي ومكافحة التصحر NCVC and in support of the Saudi Green Initiative's objectives, we've transplanted over 1 million mangrove seedlings at our Mangrove Nursery and we're on track to propagate and transplant 1.5 million by the end of 2024. This is part of our goal to plant and enhance the conditions and habitats of around 50 million mangroves by 2030 - supporting biodiversity, protecting coastlines from erosion, and sequestering carbon. Topian has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Irrigation Organization | المؤسسة العامة للري (SIO) to enhance agricultural production sustainability in the Tabuk region. Under this collaboration, SIO will provide recycled water to support Topian's agricultural development projects in Tabuk, ensuring easy access to essential resources.   Together, we aim to optimize the utilization of available and future recycled water sources, prioritizing sustainable practices for responsible agricultural development and environmental stewardship.   This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our journey towards sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation in the Tabuk region. IYMI: Why we invested 📈 🚀 Egypt produces an annual average of 90 million tons of solid waste, and only about half of it is collected. Unfortunately, only 12% of household solid waste is recycled, and the rest ends up in the environment, such as in open landfills, rivers, and waterways. This causes a range of issues, including pollution, crop and farm soil damage, and potential health issues. Cairo and Giza produce the most waste, with an estimated 30% of Egypt’s solid waste coming from these two regions. This project, funded by The World Bank, is a leap towards sustainable sanitation solutions.   Designed to serve to over 128,000 inhabitants and manage 1,340 m3/day of faecal sludge, this rehabilitation effort not only meets the present and future sanitation demands but also aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6), Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), and Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3).   #GWIC #Mozambique #Sustainability #UNSDGs #WastewaterTreatment #EngineeringForChange

Adaptable to the presently desert climate, benefit, growth speed, maintenance, looks and style etc just few ideas which maybe silly lol a combination of fast grow bamboos which quickly captures CO2, rather easy maintenance and can be used immediately to make so many natural kitchen stuff from cups to, utensils to vast imaginable products to slower growth ones like olive and palm trees and who knows sequoias and flowers can also grow in the desert. Bits and bobs for the new biome you know what I mean. Planning wisely is the key.
