Why do ships, aircraft, and spacecraft have red and green lights? It turns out, this convention comes from a long-standing maritime tradition. Red lights indicate the port side, while green lights indicate the starboard side. But why green for starboard? It's believed that green was chosen because it was the safe side, being the steering side. So now you know, the next time you see red and green lights on a vessel, you'll know which side is which. #shiplights #aviationlights #spacelights #military #defense #defence #aerospace #aviation #aircraft #aircrafts #airplane #airplanes #aviationlovers #militaryaviation #militaryaircraft #fighterjet #engineering #technology #militarytechnology #defensetechnology #defenseinnovation #defenseindustry #maritime #vessel #ships

I'm sure you know more about this than me this is very informative, but I'm sure I've seen white lights too on civilian aircraft and fighter jets. and they're at the top too but this is very good, as usual.
