via Bulls N' Bears with Matt Birney Dynamic Metals Limited has inked a landmark $20 million joint venture agreement with a 100 per cent-owned subsidiary of mining giant Mineral Resources Limited to sell up to 80 per cent of the #lithium rights at its Widgiemooltha project in Western Australia’s Goldfields region. The news immediately resonated with #ASX punters, with the company’s share price charging up to as high as 31c this morning from a previous close of 16c – a jump of more than 93 per cent. Under the terms of the deal, MinRes will pay #DYM an initial $5 million, broken down into an immediate $400,000 sign-on fee, $3.6 million on completion of the transaction and a deferred $1 million payment on July 1 next year. Rio Tinto and BHP are set to become the biggest spenders in the mining industry this year. According to a recent report by GlobalData Plc, the combined capex of the top 19 mining companies is expected to reach $71bn in 2024, with Rio Tinto and BHP each planning to invest $10bn. While some miners are ramping up spending, others are taking a more cautious approach. The report suggests a 10.6% rise in capex compared to 2023. M15/87 is a small mining tenement comprising part of WIN’s broader Mt Edwards Project. • Key aspects comprising the transaction with Auric Mining Ltd (Auric) include: o Divestment of Nickel and Lithium rights to 150m below surface over a portion of M15/87 to Auric Mining Ltd. Divesting 127,000t at 1.69% Ni resource for 2,140t of contained nickel metal. o Transfer of non-core tenure including P15/5905 & P15/5906, MLA15/1889, P15/6408, ELA15/1864, ELA15/1929 and ELA 15/1665. o Provides access to in-pit water for mining operations. • Transaction nets a minimum $1.2m to WIN over the next 12 months. • Consideration payable by Auric to WIN Metals as follows: o $100,000 deposit paid o $600,000 to be paid at settlement o $300,000 to be paid 1 December 2024 o $200,000 to be paid 1 June 2025 o Ongoing access fees for water usage #WIN Managing Director and CEO, Mr Steve Norregaard, commented: "Our Munda nickel resource doesn’t feature in the short to medium term horizon for development as part of our larger Mt Edwards Project.
