On International Women’s Day, our Chair of Management Board in South Africa, Nolitha Fakude, delivered a compelling address at the Regenesys Corporate Education’ LeadersWalk event, convened under the theme - Empowering Leaders: Unlocking Potential, Driving Change. Speaking on the subject of Corporate Activism - Leading Change in the Boardroom and Beyond, Nolitha emphasised the critical role of corporate activism in accelerating gender equality and reinforced the need for organisations to move beyond symbolic commitments towards deliberate, measurable action in enabling inclusive workplaces. Aligned with this year’s #InternationalWomensDay theme, “Accelerate Action for Gender Equality,” Nolitha highlighted that diversity and inclusion are not just moral imperatives but strategic business priorities. She called on leaders to actively address systemic barriers, ensure equitable career progression for women, close the gender pay gap, and embed inclusion as a fundamental part of organisational culture. Leadership, as she described it, is a “boardroom dance”—the ability to navigate complex corporate environments while remaining steadfast in the pursuit of meaningful change. However, individual efforts are not enough. Sustained progress requires collective action, strong advocacy, and leadership that drives real transformation. #IWD2025 #WomenLeadingChange #InternationalWomensDay
