These past days have once again made me proud of the innovative Norwegian maritime industry. Norway is world-leading in developing sustainable maritime solutions. SAMS Norway hosted a dedicated, competent, friendly team from the Sao Paulo state. Vice governor Felicio Ramuth and his team, André Isper Rodrigues Barnabé, João Paulo Hamú, Fernando Fritz and Jamille Consulin, are passionate about sustainability and will modernise the 40 ferries and ports on their 800 km of waterways. During their study tour in Oslo, the team delved into sustainable and autonomous ferry systems, gaining invaluable insights. From exploring the city's climate strategy to firsthand experiences aboard operational ferries, the visit was eye-opening. Norway's approach to sustainability is not a distant dream; here, it's a reality we actively pursue. Special thanks for hosting us, Benjamin Øveraas, Jens Eirik Hagen, Kim Wetting, Willy Pettersen, Kristine Kvalbein Fjetland, Ola Hjukse and Isak Solomon at Port of Oslo, Oslo kommune, Ruter As, Massterly (a Kongsberg Wilhelmsen joint venture), HYKE - Hydrolift Smart City Ferries ASKO Maritime AS, Moss Havn KF, and almost also Zeabuz. And for Innovation Norway with Thomas Conradi Granli for connecting us.  #Norway #Sustainability #MaritimeIndustry #sustainabletransport #autonomoustransport
