0 advertising on the way to the deepest German metro station If the weather is not good enough to ride the bike, I usually take the underground to our Hamburg office. Our location is close to the deepest metro station of the city and, in fact, of Germany. “Messehallen” is 26m deep under ground and the trains are accessible via very long moving stairs. As a daily experience, this is not the astonishing part. And for everyone that has ever been to Chongqing, 26m is nice but not comparable to the impressive 106m of the local Hongyancun station … But looking at Hamburg again from my work background, I am really surprised that there are almost no advertisements along the escalators at “Messehallen”. I could imagine entire stories to be told while moving up and down or impressive branding efforts comparable to transit spaces used in airports. Maybe the missing frequency is preventing a further build-out or there are security concerns? So I take the quiet ride to the surface as a welcome pause before my day kicks off! #media #datadriven #advertising
