The international scream... The idea of NATIONS in modern understanding got formulated only at the beginning of the XXth century aiming to divide the territories to the countries by the national affiliation. It is a political philosophy. Prior to that different ethnical groups of people lived on the same territories paying tributes to the strong Governor for the protection and order. No one was claiming that the land is not yours if you were born there, but you are ethnically different. The theories of nationalism and nazism occurred in peoples' minds centuries ago, but have been applied in the last century...and are being actively used everywhere nowadays... Zionism, Rashism are the same ultraright movements. And we, the humanity, pay with lives of our children for the price of theories.

How do you create art on dark topics? I'm currently devising a theatre piece with a few UWCD theatre students exploring the topic of genocide for our school's 10-year anniversary in October. First thing I do is see how other theatre -makers and artists I admire have approached difficult ideas or events in creative ways.
