TikTok owner ByteDance has confirmed that it is exploring the sale of its mobile gaming unit Nuverse Games, with Tencent among potential buyers. In addition, ByteDance has been seeking buyers of its other gaming unit MOONTON GAMES which it acquired in 2021, Reuters also reported in November. However, the potential buyers have not yet been disclosed. Notably, Moonton operates the most-watched mobile esports title of 2023, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Riot Games showing the way forward for esports. So far Valve corporation was the best practice for in-game items revenue sharing, at least in the top tier. But what riot games recently announced is definitely the way to go, if l done right. I hope valve will also step up their game and finds ways to generate in-game revenues for teams and players outside of majors, so smaller teams can also generate revenues. https://lnkd.in/dwPWVYem
