San Diego Community Power recently announced a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Refrigeration Equipment Supplier Services to coordinate and fulfill the purchase, delivery and installation of energy efficient refrigerator and freezer equipment and remove and recycle existing equipment (as needed) at corner stores and other small businesses in low-income or low-food access areas throughout Community Power service territory. Last week, we joined a day full of play at the All-Inclusive Day of Play & Resource Fair with Special Needs Resource Foundation of San Diego. The fair was filled with activities and educational opportunities. Our team handed out some sustainable goodies and Community Power activity booklets, which teach kids about the importance of conserving energy.

Attention solar and battery contractors — San Diego Community Power will be hosting a contractor training for our Solar Battery Savings Program this Thursday, July 18, at 11 a.m. at Greentech Renewables in Miramar. (Registration is required to attend.) Contractors interested in participating can register for Thursday's training at https://lnkd.in/gd8snbEQ Our Solar Battery Savings Program supports single-family homeowners in our service territory who are interested in installing solar and battery storage on their homes or complimenting an existing solar system with a new battery. The program offers an upfront incentive (in the form of a rebate) to minimize the initial cost of the battery system and a performance incentive for a daily dispatch of the battery to maximize benefits for the customer and the grid.
