CEO, San Diego Community Power | Pushing for 100% Clean Energy | Amplifying Community Needs | Leading with Purpose & Global Perspective
Last week, I attended the LEAN Energy US National CCA Conference in Washington DC, which brought together leaders from across the community choice and clean energy industries to learn from one another, exchange ideas and best practices, and share our visions for a sustainable future. I also had the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion alongside Henry P. Herndon of the Community Power Coalition of New Hampshire, Stan Edwards of the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection, Dennis Rowan of CCA for PA, and Cliona Robb of ThompsonMcMullan, P.C. We shared our experiences with the CCA startup and scaling processes, and the opportunities and challenges we've encountered along the way. The conference was a great opportunity to connect and collaborate with fellow leaders in the CCA space as we work together toward #CleanEnergyForAll. Thank you Alison Elliott for organizing an insightful panel!

We've released a Request for Qualification (RFQ) to collect information from local community-based organizations and non-governmental organizations who could engage or work with Community Power. Last week, the San Diego Community Power team had the pleasure of celebrating the completion of a new solar and storage project at the Sherman Heights Community Center. The project was led by the Hammond Climate Solutions Foundation, one of the recipients of our Community Clean Energy Grant in 2023, and is a testament to what we can accomplish when we all work together toward a #CleanEnergyFuture.
