Hurricane Milton, the third major storm to hit Florida this year, has left a path of destruction across the Tampa Bay area. The Category 3 hurricane has caused significant damage, leaving over 3 million people without power and widespread damage from destructive winds, flooding and tornadoes. Many would agree that receiving an education can lead to higher earning potential, stronger social connections and personal fulfillment. 🎓 Bachelor’s degrees, in particular, represent a path to upward mobility for those who can afford the upfront and opportunity costs of a four-year degree. However, the State of San Diego Latinos Report, developed in partnership with the San Diego Regional Policy & Innovation Center, reveals that the bachelor’s degree attainment rate among Latinos is less than half that of Asian and White San Diegans, making it the lowest in the county.
