Job training is most effective when people have access to job opportunities. That’s been our main approach at FCS - Focused Community Strategies, which is why we’ve spent the last decade and a half building local businesses that can offer living-wage jobs to neighbors. Over the years, this means that we’ve had some employees work with us for years, hone their skills, build their connections, and then move onto bigger companies that can offer larger opportunities. I’m thrilled for these team members! At the same time, we want to make sure talent can stay and thrive in Atlanta's Southside neighborhoods, too.
